On my way down now. I'll be calling games on the radio starting today and probably through Saturday. It's always a fun but exhausting week for me

We have 6 teams from our coverage area down there.

3 from Vernon Parish and 3 from Allen.

I used to eat at Murphy's downtown but that was in the 1990s.

Don''t even know if it's still open.

I'll have to defer to others.

Here's the link to Midland vs. Lakeview updates:

How'd it go?

I'm shocked that Rosepine lost, but VK Jones vouched for Sacred Heart before the playoffs even started.

Headed over there in the morning.

Covered boys hoops tonight.

Fairview and Oak Hill and Simpson and Anacoco can all be either.

There is Iowa

Plainview and Reeves. That’s all the same demographic. Once you get west of Ville Platte, it’s a bunch of country people.

Punjabi Dhaba really is excellent.

Tommy’s pizza

Commanders > Tommy’s.

Our Mom’s original location is downtown. Their burger are very good.

Lee’s diner is a Hammond staple

Blackened Brew actually has good food, plus you can grab some drinks.

If you are looking to just pick something up, Ryan’s Deli has really good poboys (it’s also in a gas station kind of like Punjabi)

What a joke second rate at best, maybe third rate. Nothing like the boys.Stadium is old restrooms not clean . Bags are not checked when you walk in. No police presence like in Lake Charles. PA guy is ok the one for the last 2 games last night could barely be heard. Everything about this is second rate. I know they don't make money like they do off of the boys, but that is not fair to the girls. Besides that how some of the teams make it is astounding. Alot of the games are blowouts. Level of play is down all over the state. De lasalle and Lca was terrible. Westlake sorry they didn't belong there. Time to rethink how the playoffs are done maybe follow Texas and just do the finals at a coliseum. They will have 12 finals in three days. Texas has a pop. of 31 million and 12 state championships in boys and girls basketball. We have a pop. of 4 million and 10 state championship. So watered down. This needs to be put it back together. Time for some new blood to run the show and new ideas. Can't wait to see if the boys is done better are still the same old stuff. They really need to considered to move both tournaments to the Cajundone. Lafayette takes pride in how they do things and facilities are first rate.

They haven't played that poorly since the Summer. They could play SH 9 more times and win by 20+ every time. It just wasn't their night on Monday.

Fairview/Bell City will be an awesome final in Class B.

Makes sense.

I like Bell City in Class B, but Fairview is Fairview.

Hebert, Herpin and Guillory were a force last night for BCHS.
