The Barbe vs Catholic game will resume tomorrow at 4, with Barbe leading 3-1. I have to say, as a practicing Catholic, I was disgusted by the actions and words from the Catholic High School fans. I heard them using vulgar language towards the Barbe players, and when a young female student from Barbe walked by they were harassing her. When Barbe was on defense, the same fans were shooting off fireworks while the Barbe pitcher was trying to pitch. I am pretty sure the LHSAA doesn't allow artificial noise makers at their sanctioned athletic events.

They do thisevery game. Against Dutctown 3 wks ago, they blew the vuvuzela and hit the panic alarm during every single one of Jacob Waguespack's pitches. All it did was fire them up.

I thought vermillion could play with them, but I'm pretty sure I saw they lost out. They will more than likely destroy Mangham. So only chance of them losing is in the finals.

So Dutchtown beat Bro. Martin 9-0...they are waiting on Catholic/Barbe winner. Where will the game be played? Do they go to NO for this round?

The tourney is at Turchin Stadium (Tulane) Friday and Saturday; Quarters, Semi's, and Final. BTW, bracket just updated with times for each round.

Nah, CCHS got this on lock!
Sidenote: I still remember losing to OCS in the state championship game my sophomore year in HS way back in 1987. We had lost to Livonia the year before so back to back losses were tough.

Apparently the CHS-Barbe game restarted at 2:30 today. Smart re: the weather, but geez could you tell someone other than the players and parents this news??!!
And about the noise...the whole firecracker thing seemed kinda pointless to me as well, esp since it could unnerve your hitter as much as their pitcher.
