That's what happens when you are a has-been like we are... as opposed to a never-was like you!

I've called ball for close to 10 years at the HS and college levels and I can say I have no clue what bats have been decertified.

This means you should be decertified of your duties. Cheating those little t-ballers out of a ring, you should be ashamed of yourself sir.

I don't do that USSSA, Dixie, or Little League crap... parents are too much of a pain in the arse. At least at the high school and college level they have been a round the game enough to understand some of the intricacies.

Oh no doubt... some are just mad because they finally realize little Johnny isn't going pro and paying off their mortgage... some truly think little Johnny will, but little Johnny cant get looked at... and some believe that a scout is watching from a drone and because I called little Johnny out, he wont get signed.

But they are still better than the USSSA dad at the local travel ball tourney.

varsity level is pretty tame.... freshman and kiddy ball(which I do not do kiddy ball - but would for 1 of 2 tourney directors- if they were REALLY in a bind) craziest stuff I have seen has all been at the kiddy level.... from parents and coaches... .the craziest in game stuff ie strange obscure rules things.. has all been at HS level.... two strikes foul tip hits catcher's glove bounces off mask THEN he catches it...... 3-2-2 count....bases loaded 2 down - batter swings and missed - THEN ball hits him......

foul ball - two on nobody out..... 1b leaves the field of play ie goes through open gate with both feet and catches a foul ball...... that kind of stuff

Not every person, but I happen to. I know there are a few others and many others who are just lurking. Sometimes I wonder who is who, but most of the time, I'd rather not know.

95% of parents/fans think they can do an umpires job better than he can. 95% of those do not have the balls to step out on a field and try. 4 of that last 5% wouldn't make it thru a DH.

I've got an out as the ball went directly to the mitt first. had it hit the mask first then we have a foul ball.

Dead ball, strike 3 batter is out.

Preach it. I wish that we were allowed to turn and tell them our meeting dates or the number of the association's president so they can sign up.
