there were a lot of people who thought we should hire high school basketball coaches and we didn't do that. not calling you out, just saying.

Can't believe you'd betray the coach who won the Sun Belt five years ago. Such a "what have you done for me lately" world we live in!1

Chris Masson's dad would be pissed if Herschel whipped his dick out infront of his son.

I think Bustle is a good guy, they should tell him to announce his retirement or resignation and if he refuses then can him. Do it as soon as possible, I don't want it to drag on.

supa, cook makes like 350k?

it was a joke

cook is one of the head administrators at ND

so he works as much or as little as he wants, doesnt teach a single class and pretty much does what he wants to. There is talk that he may retire when Stew Cook leaves ND, but that is just talk

so why would he want to go bust his arse and try to turn around the Cajuns?

Brent Indest will take over at ULL. runs a dynamite offense and would lock up the vermilion parish talent.

Cook was allegedly in the running back when they took Cleo Fields advice and hired Baldwin. Cook was the favorite of some power brokers, Nelson Schexnayder wanted Larry Blakeney, Dr A succumbed to the threats from Fields and the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus and hired Baldwin but didnt tell anyone.

The story goes Schexnayder was enroute to Alabama to speak to Blakeney when he was called and told to turn around, that Baldwin was offered and accepted the job

Cook's ND income now >>> Baldwin's compensation package back then

I do wonder how good Blakeney would be doing if he wasn't at an APR exempt school though.

good point. Gotta give the man credit though for what he has done at Troy. They win the Sun Belt every damn year. He is doing something right.

I'd take Les Miles in a heartbeat.

No doubt but could he get a player like Jerrel Jernigan at a place with academic standards?
