As opposed to working on his post game or working without the ball? You're probably right.

U can't group in everyone in ur field, I'm talking about you specifically. If u quit your job someone else would be doing exactly what you're doing

This might surprise you, but plenty of people don't equate success with income.
even in zen-like standards, he's successful
IF there is a better basketball player than lebron, the numbers are low
his team was THIS close to being the best, and his team lost to a team with 150% of the payroll
take out income and just judge him by his professional (individual and team) success. he's almost there

Holy shite, LeBron James produces all of our basketball product?
If LeBron left today, the NBA would live on and somebody would take his spot... You didn't want to address my 2nd point?
If LeBron makes more money than Saban, does that mean he's more successful?

Just because he is being "honest", does not imply people should agree with it.

U don't understand why people don't like being called poor by a rich athlete?
It is basically the same thing Charlie Sheen said 3 months ago but less creative and not as funny.

Lebron is much more successful than saban
Did saban ever play in or coach a super bowl?
The reason lebron makes $16 million a year and you don't is they can't find someone else to do what he does for less than that.
You can't demand $16 million a year because they could find someone else to do it for less than u are making now if you've been working with the same company a few years

Did Saban ever coach in a BCSNCG?
Also, NBA players can players can make more money than a ton of profession. Is Gilbert Arenas more successful than Nick Saban?

No...no he's not. In the world of sports money =/= success
money is part of the equation, but Saban is doing pretty well, and he has taken 2 schools from shite to elite programs and national titles

he's such a failure
He's a failure because his team didn't win the NBA championship? So Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony are failures as well? Barkley, Ewing, Malone, Dominique, Stockton, Malone and Elgin Baylor must be career failures. And of course Brian Cardinal can now call his career a successful one.

i don't think that comment was solely about finances
but people will turn that comment into whatever they want, so i guess that is a failure of the statement

the difference is sheen is not close to the apex of his profession like lebron is

Why are we comparing collegiate sports to professional sports?
Posted on 6/13/11 at 8:48 am to DelU249
Ya lsu and alabama were 2 shitty programs until nick saban

well sabes did try the NFL and he did leave as an average coach
of course, this is all framing
but lebron IS at the top level for his job, which saban is not

Alabama wasn't shitty, but LSU wasn't racking up many wins in the 90s

Well hopefully it was and it wasn't about the relative states of our personal lives; because people aren't convinced my teammate fricked my mother and if I have a bad day at the office most people don't start reporting it's because Rashard Lewis fricked my girlfriend. My personal life FTW.

Ok...I'm not comparing the people and their success levels. I'm not going in the compare LBJ to saban/Sheen/whomever direction that some are taking this thread
Simply pointing out the similarities btw the 2 statements.
