That's flawed.

1. Dwade(159) | Dirk(156)
2. Bosh(111) | JET(109)
3. James(107) | Marion(82)
4. Chalmers(71) | Chandler(58)
5. Haslem(40) | Barea(53)
Total: 488 | 458

Heat got beat on the Bench.

That's also flawed

The Heat's bench is so crappy because of the Big 3. They need their top 3 to outproduce the opponent's top 3 by a lot to be able to win

ETA: You can't really expect Miami's bench players to play much better than they did, although Bibby should never see the floor and I don't understand the love for Haslem.

How is it flawed? If LeBron had scored 156 they would have won the series. If he was as good as Dirk they would have dominated the series. But he's not.

Didn't say it was right or wrong, but they got beat on the bench because of the big 3. Same thing when James was in Cleveland. If your bench sucks because someone or enough people make up a large % of payroll...

Look at Boston. KG goes out GD comes in..less effective, but still better then the heats bench. Rondo goes out..they still can push the ball.

This represents total domination by Marion IMO.

What does Lebron have to score as much as dirk?

As stated above, they needed more production out of each their 3 then they got. Doesn't mean James has to be better then Dirk as much as it means together they have to be a lot better then Dirk.

In this series, definitely

I hope you meant to say wasn't. Factoring in defense (half of the game), Dirk isn't

You aren't getting it, and I don't know how to explain it any better. If together the 3 of them aren't better than Dirk then how in the hell is LeBron by himself better than Dirk?

Was Lebron better then Dirk in this series? No...but who is the better player? Lebron.

I hate Lebron....I prayed he didn't score at all in every game. I don't want to see him ever win a championship. However, he's a better player then dirk. Put him on the Cavs and see how many points he scores(since he's alone).

Just answer me this and I'll let it die: if you have 1 shot to win a game do you want Dirk or Lebron taking it?

So Dirk was better in the freaking NBA Finals but James is better somewhere else? Got ya.

So Lebron's better than Dirk, Wayne's better than Terry, Bosh is better than Marion....thank god Jason Kidd and JJ Barea were good enough to make the difference.

Wade was better then Dirk(since you go by points).

Great logic. The same logic that says Dilfer was better than Marino because of a ring.

This example should be forever banned from sports boards everywhere.

Unless that put their life savings on Dallas to win back in February at 16 to 1.

Lets look at at 2008 finals.

Kobe got out played by Pierce(except 1 game) in the series. Are you telling me PP > KB?

Did I say that? I made the statement in the context that the it isn't always the best player that gets the TEAM trophy.

Nah, they might be a little to challenging for somebody who struggles to grasp the concept that basketball is a team sport.
