Well I doubt he will win a championship till they get a better second option. I think until then they will consistently get to East Finals and maybe Championship but they wont win.
One player can only carry a team so far and if Lebron has a bad game there is no one to pick up slack. Williams can on the occassion but against better defensive teams not often enough

You may be correct, but they have a GREAT shot at doing it this year.

And even if they don't, to win 66 games and do what this team has done because of him, simply amazing.

That it is, but he isnt playing for the regular season. If they were to face a healthy Boston/Lakers that will clamp 2/3 defenders on him and force him into a few 9-23 shot selection games someone will have to step up.
Do you trust Big Z, Williams to step up 2/3 games in a 7 game series?

Well we saw what Big Z did in Finals a few years ago 31 points in 4 games.

3 years older than then and a player in decline I would not expect anything different even if he goes up against Andrew...

Personally I think Denver could upset Lakers, they are a different team with Billups there. Carmelo, K-Mart, Nene, Billups they have toughness.

But that team is a LOT different than this Cleveland team.

Big Z has a lot more open looks because of guys like Mo Williams and with Delonte playing so well this season.

Denver could very well beat the Lakers. But Cleveland would beat them in the finals.

But I think being older neglects alot of that. If he was same player he was 3 seasons ago he would dominate a player as foul prone as Bynum.
Well maybe not dominate but 15 and 10 against him forcing a double team.

I would want Cleveland to win over Kobe, I hate the Lakers.

I notice you revert to this
quote:

u stupid bastard

When you have nothing to say to this
quote:

Lebron thrives on the inside game, while he is being guarded initially by Kobe, when he moves to the inside, he is picked up by Odom, Gasol, or both. While Gasol is not an amazing defender, he is smart and does not leave his feet to early in the drive as many defenders do. Odom on the other hand, is a top 25 player in the league and has the length to contest a shot from Lebron inside the paint all the way to the rim... all while initially being guarded by Kobe. As I have previously stated, Kobe is the better shooter. As such, he needs a perimeter defender with adequate length to stifle his shot, similar to what Odom provides for Kobe. While Lebron can handle this. When the double team comes, it is typically with help from a smaller defender attempting to strip the ball or block the passing lane in the form of West or Williams.

Perhaps because you are clueless about how to respond to intelligent discussion?

you really don't think they could beat boston if KG was healthy? a MUCH, MUCH worse cavs team came extremely close to knocking boston off last year. all they need are guys that can knock down open shots, which they have a ton of now. mo, and to a certain extent delonte, can both create for themselves off the dribble. and they are the best defensive team in the league. they definitely have the pieces necessary to win a title

It wasn't Kobe's great D that caused those bad performances. It was the fact that the entire Lakers team could sag in the paint and double and triple Lebron, and force him to pass to inferior teammates who'd miss shots.

Did you watch the 2 games??

i get the feeling the majority of the people on this board didn't, and they don't watch very much basketball in general

If Boston comes focused and Garnett is healthy they will be an issue.
I did not say they would win or lose, I just stated they need other people to step up when they play a better defensive team than Atlanta.

i've been thinking the last few boston games that this garnett injury could all be staged.

It would be awesome if, he was just resting up, taking his sweet time to do so, and when the C's were in a real bind he would have a rip off suit over his jersey, come out and put on a dominate defensive showing and lead the C's to the championship.

i'm still wishing for C's vs. Lakers final. won't happen though.

I want Lebron to win, I think he is good for sports in general. WIth that said if he leaves Cleveland I take back every statement I have made about how great he is

I always root for the hometown kid on the hometown team. He could do for Cleveland what Jordan did for Chicago by winning a title or 6.

sorry, without james posey to help aid in defense against lebron james, boston does not have a chance.

paul pierce can not do it all and sadly, we do have any other defender capable.

See follow up statement... I guess I value loyalty to a franchise... he gets paid an elite contract and get enough endorsement deals playing in Cleveland as is there really is no monetary reason to leave.

yeah, but to take back every great statement you made about him seems a tad obtuse.

i am quite familiar with the cleveland area and i personally would not want to spend my 20s and 30s and such a awful place.

you only live once, and while i understand why would lebron would stay...i can see reasons for him wanting out just the same.
