His superior athleticism is the reason he doesn't get called for fouls. Not to mention the fact that he is country strong.

Steve nash didn't commit a foul in 11 straight games last year and no one said a word. People need to get off his jock and just enjoy the show. Your watching a once in a lifetime kind of athlete

He sucks arse at defense. Making it even more odd that he didn't foul in 11 games

he's also getting noticeably fewer steals than last year (1.9 to 1.3) while fouling at a similar rate (1.5 to 1.3)

looks like he's just being less aggressive for steals and is playing back and using his length/athleticism to alter shots (like what tayshawn prince used to do)

They're playing better lately, but the entire team as a whole just isn't trying that hard, it seems rather evident IMO.

I think the fewer steals is a combination of things: Heat not trying on defense much of year, less wing defending and more post defending, and some of what you're talking about.

Have you seen them the past two weeks? The defense has been on point. They were amazing defensively against the Wolves, Mavs, and Jazz. Their D efficiency is dropping rather quickly.

Edit: Not to say they're playing their best, but they're trying about as hard now as they tried during the regular season last year or year before. They obviously save their best effort for the playoffs.

LeBron hasn't been called for a foul in 6 games. He's committed plenty.

I don't either to be honest, and Battier/Haslem do most of the post defending. But there has to be at least some increase over last year.

Against the Jazz he was defending Milsap a decent amount, and Al Jefferson at some points as well.
