Not bashing michael but teams now are much better than teams back in jordans days.

teams in jordans days actually played defense and werent giant pussies. todays teams would get eaten alive by the defenses of old.

Myth. Teams play the way the game is called. If you allowed the players of today with their size, length, and athleticism to play physical, many currently "good" teams in today's NBA would dominate the 80's and 90's. Conversely, if the 90's teams were called like they are today, they would play softer as well.

Jordan never had to consistently play against 8 legitimate championship teams every year. He basically only had to be concerned with the Pistons alone early on in the East, and later just the Knicks alone in the East. the only competition outside of that he really faced in the 90's from the east was the Orlando and he lost one of those series. It was usually a cake walk to the finals where he played a good team, but not a great team.

No way those Bulls teams win 6 championships from 2000-2010 in the Western Conference.

No one can know this but I tend to disagree. They beat the best teams in the east and the west every year. Those Bulls teams were just superior. They beat any team in the league today IMO.

No one will ever know this either but IMO if Jordan never left AND if they kept the Bulls together one more year they win 9 straight!

I do agree with this, however

they still wouldnt know what to do. i've never seen so much standing around defense. nobody fights through screens, hell, noone even makes contact with screeners anymore. not to mention all the gay-arse flopping.

Further, people forget Big Z and Hughes were decent players then.

Hughes, the hughes that shot .409 and .400 with Cleveland?

No doubt just terrible but at least he could play a little D. Mo just killed the team on both ends this series imo.

Oh, I agree. If Mo is in the game, he's the worst defender on the court of all 10 guys EVERY time.

He usually offsets this with his offensive play, but he's basically disappeared now 2 straight years in the playoffs for the most part.

But, nonetheless, the Lebron hater that unknownknight is was trying to say that Hughes was solid when he was definitely not solid his 2 years in Cleveland.

Didn't Hughes miss most of the playoffs anyway his final year with Cleveland due to injuries and then the death of his brother?

His 1st year, he played in the 1st round with Washington.

Then, he missed 4 of the 7 games against Detroit.

He shot a blistering 31.9% in the playoffs that year.

The next year was the year they went to the Finals. He played all the way through the playoffs. Shot 1 for 10 in games 1 and 2 against the Spurs, then missed games 3 and 4.

He shot a blistering 34.9% in the playoffs that year.

And THIS is a player that unknownknight says was solid.

He fails again, as usual.

Lebron shot a blistering 34.4% in the Finals that year? Was he NOT solid either? Or was Hughes just .5% more solid than James?

You fail...again

You are better off just ignoring him. He's easily one of the worst posters on this entire site. Even people on the movie board ignore his posts

Do you hate Kobe?

I dont know if you have seen it yet or not but ESPN did some documentary on the Lakers this season...starting from the off season all the way through till the start of this postseason...anyways I dont really have a point but if you ever get a chance to watch it you should check it out.

Yea because Hughes faces just as many double and triple teams as Lebron, and also picks up the slack with rebounds and assists, blocks, steals like Lebron does.

LOL. Your basketball IQ, yikes.
