1. Do you not read well? We've been over this.
2. I"m offended that you think you can talk to me like my father
3. You can't.

Let it go. You don't know how loans work and you read TMZ. And if I've offended you by pointing that out to you and other posters, then lighten up.

She's put on some weight after having a kid, but 2000-2005 Lacey Duvalle is one of the sexiest females I've ever seen.

Are you saying that you've seen prime Lacey "in action" and that you didn't find her attractive?

Different strokes for different folks -- I'm not really into Kate Upton, for example -- but I've never heard anyone say anything other than "dear lord she's fine as all outdoors"* when referring to young Lacey.

*or some variation

I'm not sure what your intent was here, but I'm fairly confident that you're the only person on the planet who thinks about a 6'0+ tall cross dresser when you see pictures of a 5'2 female who weighs 95 lbs, is 34-22-34, and has quite possibly the best natural rack in the history of civilization.

Wow, wtf happened in this thread? Couple things. First I'll never understand why guys put pictures of hot women as their avatars. 'Derrr, look 'dis girl is hawt!' Really? I would have never noticed. And then this guy goes off the deep end defending a porn star.

Anyway, more to the point. A $500,000 loan wouldn't need a 20 year repayment period if the borrower makes millions of dollars a year. Yeah, if you're Johnny Whitecollar making $100-$150k a year and buy a $500k house then you're going to need a long term repayment schedule. If you're Lane Kiffin who is paid millions of dollars to produce mediocre football teams then $100k a year or more payments aren't that steep.

Wow, wtf happened in this thread?

Couple things. First, I'll never understand why a guy would question putting a hot chick as an avatar. Yeah, it's a hot chick. She's nice to look at. Everybody wins. Utilitarianism. John Stuart Mill is my homeboy.

Second, saying that Lacey Duvalle is hot is pretty far away from the deep end. She's smoking hot. I get a comment about once every two weeks on my avatar. If you don't think she's hot, you're weird.

Third, and more to the point, you appear to have gotten sidetracked from my point. Which is weird because my point was really straightforward. I said:

quote:

You can't give out a fricking 500K loan with the number of years of repayment being determined by his employments.

You never addressed my point. Probably because you couldn't refute. Next time just say "hey, bobbyray, you're right". It'll be easier for everybody.

I also said:

quote:

2. 500K loans aren't expected to be paid in focking five year, or nobody would fricking take a 500K loan.

and you replied with:

quote:

A $500,000 loan wouldn't need a 20 year repayment period if the borrower makes millions of dollars a year.

Your reply was non-responsive. Nobody is questioning whether Lane Kiffin could have paid back a 500K loan in five years. Of course he could have. But why in the world would he want a 500K loan with a 5 year repayment? How would that benefit him? Assume you just got a job paying you 3 million a year after having just left a job that paid you two million a year and I don't know how much the Raiders paid him, but i'm sure it was okay. And you move to LA and you want to buy a 5.5 million dollar house.

1) will you have any trouble getting a mortgage from the bank at 100% the cost of the house?*
2) will you have any trouble making the 25K or so monthly payments on that mortgage?**

But maybe you might want the loan because USC is giving you some ridiculously low interest rate (or maybe even 0%), and so you figure you can put some money down on the house. Okay, sure then you might want the loan. But not if you have to pay it back in five years. If you have to pay it back in five years, the fact that it's 0% interest rate is immaterial.

So, in view of the fact that there is no reason that Kiffin would have wanted or needed to borrow 500K with a five year repayment period, the only reasonable conclusion is that the loan had a much longer repaymentn period. 10 years at the very very least.

So let's say it was 10 years. In that case, the loan contract would have laid out the terms like so:
- we give you 500K.
- you pay us ~$4,200 each month for 10 years.
- unless we fire you before 10 years, in which case you pay us the entirety of the loan or we take your house.

Now we're back my original point, which you never responded to. The above loan contract is unenforceable because the promise si conditioned on the non-occurrence of an event over which the promisor has complete control. That's an illusory contract. Completely unenforceable.

So even though I'm sure Lane could write USC a check tomorrow for the balance of the loan, if he chooses not to, there ain't a goddamn thing USC can do about it.

And, yes, I'm a lawyer.

And I like Lacey Duvalle. As do all normal people.

Kiffin got to write off the loss from the Knoxville home so he actually got a bonus since he is paying Cali State tax on his money

Only 5.5million in Malibu? Not bad its probably worth 7million now

there is a ton of stupid in this thread

exactly

quote:

it is pretty funny that the OP thinks that USC will "foreclose" on Kiffin when they owe him a substantial amount of money.
