But goddamnit if I don’t have a newfound respect for him for his unabashed honesty in this 30 for 30. He is dropping truth bombs regardless of how bad they make him look.

And btw, if nobody on tour was juicing and everybody was on an even playing field, I think he would have dominated cycling just the same. His insane drive and absolute will to win was always going to. He is Michael Jordan.

I try but I can't get myself to care about cycling. I may go get me a lance bracelet tomorrow because I don't care. I like him now more than ever. He's doing more for cycling than anyone ever could by having both good and bad publicity. he's the mike Tyson of cycling. love it!

Well, he’s not racing anymore, so nothing to root for. I don’t like him. I think he’s a bad person. But I don’t think he’s quite as bad as I did, I think it took huge ball to do this doc and be so honest regardless of how bad it makes him look, and I think he would have won all those Tours if nobody was juicing.

I don't care about cycling and people in sports dope across the board.

But he gets a major pass for what he did for Cancer research fundraising. I mean the guy transcended sports for awhile so forget about the stupid sport.

The Euros were out to get him forever just because he was an American dominating a European sport.

This was one of those things where WADA should've said...it's just a stupid sport, what he's done outside of his sport and money raised is far more important than nabbing him...especially in a sport where they thought they had to cancel entire the Tour de France because the entire field was tainted.

While he was guilty, it was a short-sighted takedown. Look at the big picture. A case of can't see the forest for the trees.

There’s a difference between a dominant winning a-hole and a scum cheater! He wasn’t singing this tune when he was being investigated. He is not in the same category as MJ

You clearly don’t grasp the difficulty of winning 1 Tour de France, while Lance proceed to win 7 in a row.

21 stages of 100+ miles daily, yes he may have doped but everyone did. He trained harder and had such a competitive fire.

The cycling community hates Lance because they all did the exact same thing he was doing and he was just better at it. He beat them at their own game. Barry Bonds is another like this. They always come across as arrogant pieces of shite because they are but damn he was fun to watch and I still love the memories he created.

I just find it hard to be outraged about a guy doping in a sport that’s been rife with doping since its inception.

Or... he had a body more receptive to the drugs. And only 15 of 21 stages go over 70 miles fyi.

The problem I have with him is he went after anyone who called him a cheater.

The dick move is taking advantage of all the sheep who blindly followed him and shamed the critics by saying “you can’t criticize him. HE HAD CANCER.”

Only a cowardly dick would do what he did and exploit his fan base like that.

Incorrect, while their are normally 2 time trials and 3 rest days if you had said 19 100+ mile stages plus 2 TTs over 24 days I’d agree.

The shortest stage recently that wasn’t a TT was that incredible mountain stage two years ago and it was 60 miles.

I was kinda disappointed they only went that route with it. There was a lot of patriotism tied to it too. He peaked right around 9/11.

You have some smelly frogs mad they can’t cheat as well so that try to take down our guy. This was the same time as the freedom fries and all that too. The cancer/live strong work absolutely shielded him and it would have kept him in our good graces if it wasn’t such an a-hole

That's part of it. But people in the racing community also hate him because he was a complete hypocritical a-hole. By all accounts he was a bully and a dick to everyone involved- trainers, teammates, support staff, etc. He threatened them physically and financially for years, all while presenting a very different face to the public. He used his cancer as a means to gain sympathy and hid behind it as a shield to cover his sociopathic behavior.

Lance doped, but everyone did. No one else dragged their accusers through the mud and destroyed their reputations.

What Lance did for cancer research is a legacy not lost on me. The experience of a cancer patient/survivor is dramatically better because of Lance and Livestrong.
