You may be shy of 15k posts but I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that Flyinpac has posted more words in those 1k posts.

Bitches, shut the hell up.

Now as far as DAT's time. Well, I did get a email today from one of my sources, a reporter. He took a educated guess. And I just sent him an email 2 mins ago asking him to get a official confirmation or not and ask around and not just some educated guess.

Either way, here is what he told me...

"As far as I know, Oregon doesn't do its winter conditioning tests until the end of winter term. And so, as far as I know, DAT has never run a timed 40 at Oregon."

Thus, I am not looking good, because in theory, it is true they do not test the players until after winter conditioning. However the day he arrived on campus the whole team knew and saw he was blazing fast and they could not shut up about it. Thus, even though it is not normal, maybe some football coach or track coach timed him just for fun. I do admit, it so far is not looking good for my confirmation, but it truly has not been verified either way yet. And I personally have no problem admitting I was wrong, if proved so. I am a stickler for truth. If I were not, then I would of never posted this, so far bad news, response I got from a source. However, my earlier source, which I met on a blog, I have not been able to contact for a long while. And I clearly remember how anal and picky he was about players times. He had a whole spreadsheet of them all. Thus, I am just trusting him and his data. This data did not come from me. I was only sharing it on here. And I will easily stick by it until proven otherwise. Though I may have to wait until spring game to do so...

Shut the hell up. For if I remember correctly, you were one of those that thought it was a done deal that our Coach Kelly had signed for Tampa in the NFL. And I was the ONLY FREAKING ONE, that said, no he wont, just you all sit back, take a chill pill, and wait for Chip Kelly HIMSELF to say that was true. But every single, freaking guy, SEC fan, PAC fan, everybody, EVEN YOU, jumped on the bandwagon that it was a sure thing, that CK had agreed to leave Oregon for the NFL.

I was literally the only one on that long thread that called it as Bull shite. And you all can easily go back and look at that long thread and verify. So shut the hell up, yes even you Bison. It gets old as dirt...

Bottom line, anything under 4.30 is truly amazing for the NFL combine, yes I agree. But there are some track guys, most of them American- as the 40 yard dash is a American only thing- that have run sub 4.30 40's. But to even pretend that a sub 4.30 is the world record is laughable. As noted, the fastest guy in the world has been scientifically estimated to be able to run a sub 4.00 one, near 3.8 or 3.9. And he is a big man. And everyone knows that little light-weight guys have a advantage of coming out of the gate, such as little D.A.T.

Wrong! Even Bolt could not run sub-4.2 at the combine without starting blocks and on Field Turf as opposed to Mondo.

Source? I trust DucksFly's sources over your educated guesses.

1) Eugene may be the nation's track and field capital, but LSU has won more NCAA relay titles that any other college in the nation and more than the #2 and #3 schools combined, and therfore I consider Batoin Rouge the nation's sprint capital.

2) This link provides Bolt's 10-meter splits for his world record in Beijing.

LINK

40 yards equals 36.5 meters. If you allow for a 0.14s reaction time for the NFL's starter, Mark Gorscak, my math says that Bolt hit the 40-yard mark in 4.2055 seconds. Lack of starting blocks and slower running surface would make him even slower.

Look, you found a website to estimate that Bolt would of run a 4.20 (40).

Well, I found a website that says bolt would of ran a 3.73 non electronic timed and 3.97 electronic timed here: LINK

But the fact of the matter is Bolt has just never run one. Thus all such guessing on what his time would be if he did run one is just that-guessing. And the truth is, no one really knows. Thus no one can be proved right or wrong either way...

I don't cares what your "sources" say. No one on the Oregon football team, runs a 4.2

There have been 6 players to break the 4.30 mark since 2000. I'm supposed to believe You have another at Oregon?

The site you went to just threw out numbers arbitrarily, it's not based on any actual math that makes sense. It looks like the 3.73 time may have been derived by converting 100 meters to yards and dividing by the time. That's highly innaccurate for reasons that are self-evident. Let me break it down for you.

1.85s+1.02s+0.91s+(0.65x0.87s)-0.14s = 4.2055s

And this is with starting blocks on Mondo which is much faster than Field Turf.

Jacoby Ford was the 2009 NCAA 60 meter champion with a meet record of 6.51. He ran 4.28 at the combine in 2010. Does Oregon have a guy who run a low 6.5 in the 60?

And based on anecdotal evidence, I suspect that the Field Turf at the RCA was slightly faster than the Field Turf in Lucas Oil Stadium that has been run on since 2009.
