There have been 6 players to break the 4.30 mark since 2000. I'm supposed to believe You have another at Oregon?
Of all the other programs you doubt Historic Track Town USA? The one University that literally made running famous? The one University where the Olympic Trials are held? The one University that blurs the line between the sport of Track and Football. The one University who recruits skill guys for just one talent, Their Speed. Some come to run just track. Some come to run just on the Football field. But some come to do both. And with no other program will you ever see the line between Track and Football more blurred. Running is our Culture. It is our DNA.
The greatest Sports Company in the world was Invented at the University of Oregon, NIKE, all because a UO Track coach was trying to design shoes that gave his runners more speed. We literally made running the sport and pastime that it now is. And from legendary Track Town USA you think it's unrealistic that we could even remotely possess such a speedster here?

Eugene is truly the promised land of track and field, and all you've said about it in this respect is true. As a matter of fact, track and field is bigger in Eugene than baseball will ever be in Baton Rouge. However, I don't think Pre was famous for running a fast 40, nor Alberto Salazar, nor Galen Rupp, nor Andrew Wheating, etc.

You seem to know your track well... Tell me, would running a 10.35 100m dash as a true Sophmore in High-School be fast to you? Well, we have a local kid, 2013 committed recruit that is a running back, 6'0, and 215lbs and is a junior now. Track has not started yet this year for him. He says his goal this spring is to become even faster. After shedding some of his football weight, he says he will aim for a 100-meter time in the high 10.1's or the low 10.2's. In theory, he should just get better and better. 247Sports, Rivals ect. has him listed as the #1 overall Running Back. He has been offered by all the SEC schools. But He has committed to play CFB and run track for our Ducks for 2013 class. Here is a short video below of him running a 10.38 at a track meet: And as you can see, he is not short and scrawny unlike DAT, LMJ, and Barner when they first came to UO. He is projected to grow to 6'2 and 235lbs by the time he gets to UO. And this is him, a year ago, as only a Sophmore in both picture and video:

Yes, 10.35 FAT with a legal wind is very fast for a high school sophomore.

DucksflyinPAC -
Moseley tweeted that DAT ran a 4.32 in winter testing (electronically timed).
So, I will admit when I am wrong.
More interesting: Dion Jordan's 4.4. That is flat out amazing at 6'7" and 245.
