Why would we be jealous of a school about to get the death penalty?

The wording of this made me laugh.

Not getting the death penalty. This was investigated and the decision was accepted by NCAA. McKnight was even held from playing in the Emerald Bowl.

L.A. Times is known to go after SC and the timing is suspect. Death penalty? No way! Perception? Ya, looks bad.

Administrators investigated McKnight and Schenter's relationships in 2009, after the running back was seen driving a $27,000 Land Rover registered to Schenter. School officials said they "fully investigated the matter" at the time and turned their findings over to the NCAA. The disciplinary body "accepted the report, and no violation was processed," according to Haden's statement.

That's what matters.

After reading Schenter's (corruption figure) emails/letters, it seems like he was trying to bring USC down (he claims how he hates SC..would love to see SC on probabtion)

I am shocked by this. Absolutely shocked to hear that Joe McKnight was getting paid at USC.

But...but....Barkley is the heisman frontrunner this year...never mind that he hasnt taken a snap yet......i mean...they cant do this can they? Wouldnt be fair to ESPN and all that money theyve spent hyping usc....this would be a travesty.

this was dealt with during Joe's final game which is why he sat for the Emerald Bowl and then went pro.

:rotflmao:

The NCAA isn't gonna let you just sit a guy for a meaningless bowl game, and consider it an acceptable penalty. Haha, that made me laugh.

Yeah, they investigated the car. Not the $35K+ in payments to JM.
