Magic
Kobe
Lebron
Wilt
Kareem

Shaq
West
Baylor
Malone
Worthy

Rodman
Cooper

Can you beat that roster with the rest of the NBA?

Jordan
Oscar
Bird
Duncan
Hakeem

Russell
Dr J
Barkley
Durant
Robinson

Wade
Curry

Dang that would be fun.

Shaq being a 6th man is something.

If we’re playing in today’s NBA, the 2016-17 Warriors would smoke that team.

Any team with Kobe and MJ automatically advances to the Finals, if there's a team that includes LeBron yeah I expect LeBron to fold the moment a team puts up a strong challenge

It’s simple math. Nobody on that Lakers team can really shoot. Maybe West, but he’s not used to playing and shooting 24+ feet out, and neither Kobe nor LeBron are great 3-point shooters. Nobody else on that team can shoot at all.

Warriors are the greatest 3-point shooting team ever, by far.

Warriors win, at minimum, by math.

But the rosters are false. Shaq played for other teams, Malone played his entire career outside of LA minus 1 season, he’s not a Laker and neither is Rodman. Wilt averaged about 17ppg as a Laker how is he above Shaq? No he needs to reconfigure the rosters and try again.

What? The warriors will not go 30-30 on three’s... and they wouldn’t get a SINGLE damn rebound against Lebron, Wilt and Kareem(Or Shaq). Plus if any of those three go to the basket it’s automatic. You’re acting like Kobe and Bron wouldn’t go 30-35% from three.
Steph gets locked down by Magic.
Klay is clamped by Kobe.
KD plays decent versus Lebron.
Then the rest lol

The Lakers would shoot at an 80%+ clip rotating a Kareem/Shaq/Wilt frontline against the Warriors with Draymond Green trying to guard them in the paint

Lebron, Kobe and Magic may not be a group of sharpshooters but this team could literally dump it down low for a nearly automatic two points every trip down the court lol

Do I get pre 18 LeBron on my non-Laker team?

First of all, no they wouldn’t. Those guys are used to playing at a time when post ups had to be 1 on 1 due to illegal defense rules. You could double team, but it had to be a true double team, in which case the big would simply pass the ball back out to the open man. Bigs can’t do that today. Because there are no illegal defense rules, there is no open man anymore even when bigs are doubled.

Because defenses can do wherever they want now, it’s a lot harder for centers to get a clean catch on the block, make a move, and score. Defenders can sink down and play in space, effectively guarding multiple players and mucking everything up. With the Lakers having no real shooters, the Warriors could pack the paint.

The Warriors had the best defense in the league because they play defense as a team. They would hold their own.

But put aside how the Warriors would guard the Lakers for a moment. The real question is how would that Lakers team guard the Warriors?

The Warriors are masters at setting screens on bigs, causing a switch, and torching the mismatch. Could you imagine Shaq out on the 3-point line trying to D up Steph?

And you’re gonna put multiple bigs on the court at the same time? The Warriors would absolutely torch that team. It would be a bloodbath.

Teams like the Rockets have had success against the Warriors specifically because they switched everything on defense and had long, mobile players. That Lakers team would get absolutely torched playing multiple true bigs against the Warriors.

Ok so when this happens, they kick it back out to a slashing Lebron James or Kobe Bryant. Klay Thompson and Steph Curry will not be stopping either in such a scenario. I believe the Lakers would be more than fine in either scenario

Nobody is cutting when the paint is packed. The only option is to shoot from deep. That’s the whole point of packing the paint. You’re playing off the shooters and clamping down the paint and giving up the 3. Now they’re in a 3-point shootout against the Warriors. Who do you think is gonna win that one? Gee, lemme think...

As for the Lakers getting absolutely torched, it’s a no-brainer. Those 7-footers on the Lakers are going to be useless on defense against a run-and-gun 3-point shooting team.

If you are playing in the 90s/2000s that lakers team would kill anyone. Not so sure they would handle some of the recent Warriors teams with todays rules. And shaq is starting on any laker team.
