For a while the western conference finals was the finals.... The east couldn't even compete.

Your slanting facts. What year was he in when they made it to the finals? Exactly...old man.

so you think Penny, Nick Anderson, Dennis Scott, Horace Grant, etc (at that point & time) were a "clusterfrick of shittiness"
I'll give you Grant, who was the penultimate role player. He gave you 12 and 9.
He was in his 7th season as well. So if Jackson was over the hill. . .

Mark Jackson was in his 14th season dude... He had two stints with the pacers. Get your facts straight.

With 9 boards and 1 block per game? Lulz. Chris Paul was better on defense than Chandler

13th when they went to the NBA finals, yes

That was his second stint in Indiana.
It was his 13th or 14th season.
It was his 13th or 14th season.

It was his 13th or 14th season.
Which is about what he always gave.
So I am still not down with the "past his prime".

This has been fun, as all threads about Kobe/LeBron that turn into Kobe vs. LeBron tend to be.
Have fun, guys. I'll check in tomorrow for a few more laughs.

I really thought this thread would be about Dwight - not Kobe and Lebron

Ok lets see. I think Kobe's Lakers were a little bit better team than LBJ's Cavs. But the East wasn't as good as the West. Still taking that Cavs team to the finals was pretty amazing while Kobe and the Lakers missing the playoffs was pretty bad. I'd give it a draw if the Lakers weren't bellow .500 in those years. LBJ just makes a team better no matter what. Kobe can't even come close to doing that. But Kobe with a good team around him is almost unstoppable.
