Within the last month, very smart and plugged-in people I have consulted say that the Los Angeles Clippers have emerged as an equally dangerous threat to the Knicks to sign Durant away from Golden State. And I believe it.

Beverly is an unrestricted FA.
So they may not even be in the same practices

shite seems to happen like clock work...big time FA due to hit the market, everyone says the Knicks will be a major player if not the favorite to land him, player goes elsewhere.

There has been NOTHING to indicate that he would stay. The chatter about him leaving has been circulating all year long (fight with Draymond). Now, even if they were to lose the Finals, which they won't, Durant can't ignore the chatter about the old Warriors and how they've won 5 straight without him. Plus, the Warriors know they still have a great team with the big 3, so there won't be a big push to try to keep Durant if they know they could use his money to bolster the lineup around them.

Durant has been gone for a long time. These playoffs change nothing.

I still have a feeling that he's just going to go back to GS and all of this talk will be for absolutely nothing.
