People are forgetting to mention Bismack Biyombo who dominated Anthony Davis in the Nike Hoops Summit last summer. Look it up.

Lets be honest here. The main reason Kentucky is so good is because of their star player, Anthony Davis. Davis leads the Wildcats in Points, Rebounds, Minutes per game, Block and FG%.
He's a PF and lets face it, big men just don't make an impact in the NBA right away due to sure strength and size.
I just looked up career statistics for Kevin Garrnett, Dwight Howard, LeBron, Kevin Durant and Chris Webber. They all had slow starts to their careers their first year in the NBA in comparison to their later success. It took them all two to three years.
As it applies to this discussion:
I think Davis will likely end up being better than Tyrus, but Tyrus for the bobcats was just as athletic in college and now he is more athletic and bigger and stronger. That's just a comparison of Tyrus' year in college to Davis'. Davis is a better scorer, but Tyrus, Brown, Maggette, Diaw, White and Mullens can shut down the front court of a college team. Including Davis this year.
I think the same argument goes for the rest of the team:
I think MKG will likely be better than D.J. Augustin. And Lamb will probably be good after a few years in the NBA. But Augustin, Walker and Henderson are better now and would shut them down defensively.
That takes away your stars, and I'm sorry, but Jones, Miller and Teague aren't beating current NBA players without Davis and MKG pulling the weight for the team.

Marcus Camby disagrees with everything you wrote.

Comparing Thomas to Davis is just silly. Tyrus Thomas is less athletic than Anthony Davis now, and he was less athletic than Anthony Davis in college.
On what basis are you comparing Tyrus Thomas and Anthony Davis? Davis is simply a better player in all facets of the game.

You clearly don't realize how tall MKG is. He is 6-7, 232. The guys you mentioned aren't shutting him down defensively.

But I sincerely appreciate that you actually took the time to compare the players and think about how it might play it.

durant isn't a big man, and he averaged 20 ppg his rookie year
webber averaged 17/10/4
KG, dwight, and lebron came out of high school
KG's 2nd year was 17/8/3
howard was 16/13
lebron was 27/7/7

Bobcats win by over 20, and don't even really try that hard to do it.

That doesn't have multiple years of NBA experience under his belt.

Which made Tyrus Thomas neither taller nor more athletic. #fact

I take the Bobcats, out of the five players that play for kansas, one maybe two are headed for substantial playing time in the NBA, with no gurads or true perimeter scorer kentucky still had play till the end to win the game. If some of you idiots think they beat Charlotte, then they should have been beating Kansas by no less than thirty at the half.
If you think a some glorified AAU team is going to hang with NBA level talent then you are crazy!

Steve Nash and Dan Patrick:
DP: Do you agree with Charles Barkley that Kentucky might beat the Charlotte Bobcats?
SN: I got the Bobcats. I think Kentucky probably has more talent. But the guys are young. Their bodies are young. Those guys are kids. There are some men on the Bobcats. If [the] Kentucky [guys] all played until they were seniors, it would probably be interesting.
