lol are schools from Kentucky known for leaving the state to play football?

there are some legit private school teams in louisville that definitely play out of state games.

trinity, st. x, male, etc...

i dont know how they come into play here or if that matters at all, but it does exist.

It’s high school. The most irrelevant time of your life. No one should care about this

you're so cool, man! high school doesnt matter!

you know when high school does matter? when you're in high school! 14-18 year olds dont have the perspective that you do, and they dont give a shite that you keep telling them it doesnt matter. it does to them.

growing up, all i wanted to do was play high school soccer for my high school. we had a great program, i went to games my whole life, we had players from my club that would go to games, we would talk with players from other clubs about joining up in high school, etc... i am far from the only person who had that experience.

it was fricking fun. if my senior year got ripped away, i would have been beyond devastated.

would i have stayed in high school? no, that wouldnt have made sense for me, but that doesnt mean it doesnt make sense for others. everyone has different shite going on, and all this does is give people options.

you are right, no one should care, but for the opposite reasons. it doesnt affect you and it gives people the option to make the best decision for themselves/their kids.

Having seniors come back and play really hurts the next crop of seniors. I understand wanting to have the opportunity to play for your school, in a rivalry game, or win a title. To me the way to do it is try to put together a few teams of seniors only from each city, and let them play each other.

I was a the kind of player that worked hard for 4 years in a 5A program and finally earned a starting spot my senior year. This ruling will have instances where kids who were like me will never get their shot b/c older guys will come back to play.
