I saw it mentioned this morning that neither practical move or confidence game came to the track this morning. I’m scouring Twitter to see if they showed up later, but that’s never a good sign….

Horses don’t go to the track every day they do have walk days.

I’m very aware, but usually a day or sometimes two after a work. Both had normal days yesterday and one worked Friday and the other Saturday. It’s just not usually a good sign to miss a gallop derby week.

I’m hoping both just went out later and nobody has mentioned it, since skinner was out at 9 again and nobody is talking about him.

Keith Desormeaux is the trainer for Confidence Game. I didn't see any other jockeys or trainers I recognized.

Gallop out after a work. Back left I think, but never saw an exact explanation of the injury. They sent him to Rood & Riddle, so they tried. Someone left a bunch of roses in front of his stall the next day

And Lukas just had a bad breakdown on their cursed turf course. Also, that pig Saffie is back to his old drugging tricks and has had 2 collapse and die after races. it was amazing how his horses regressed so suddenly once to FBI popped Navarro and Servis.

Bad week for Churchill

I'll say! Coulda been worse. Could've had a full house and TV coverage too.

Saffie’s got one in the derby. And in the sprint.

I think I saw these were his only 2 to run at Churchill so far…

Him and baffert need to go the way of the other two I mentioned above

I can’t believe he’s wheeling her back. She ran so well off her much needed break

We don’t breed them to hold up like we used to

So…

Practical move jogged a slow lap with a pony Monday, did not train yesterday, jogged another slow lap with the pony today…

Looked sound from the few clips I’ve been able to see, but something is up. Looks to have bar or egg bar shoe on in the rearing photo. Tinfoil hat time for aspy. Either they are babying a foot thing, the travel took a lot out of him, or Yakteen has been told by some very rich people that his horse better not beat the baffert he’s paper training.

On a related note, Reincarnate has had a textbook derby week…

Well hell! There goes one of my picks. Probably overreached and hurt himself or something totally stupid like kicking the stall wall. Stupid horse.

What is up with Confidence Game? Although based on his race history and he is by Candy Ride, they might have always been holding him together with bubble gum and duct tape.

To sell for what he sold for with his pedigree, he’s got to have some issues. I don’t like that he missed a race coming in, but at least they worked him a good mile out of he gate. He’s looked amazing every morning. Did gallop today, so that’s good. I love James and he rode my horse, so I’m putting a few on him for that reason. But who knows

We will probably never know. Just like Gun Runner’s secret quarter crack derby week.

I don’t completely discount my big owner conspiracy, though
