Apparently, Crennell and Pioli were trying to calm him down at the facility when he pulled out the gun and shot himself.

This may sound a little bad, but it's a good thing he didn't go on some kind of rampage at the facility before ultimately shooting himself.

Just sad. No matter how you feel about what or why Belcher did what he did I'm sure there is some very heartbroken friends and family out there right now. Can't help but think of them.
