Well doesn’t sound like Cincy can afford him.

I was kinda hoping he would work a deal to get back with Burrow and Chase

Kinda expect Tee to move on to try to be a #1

How exactly did you work this out in your mind as being remotely possible?

He’s a great receiver but it’s definitely gonna set his team back.

Teams could always decide to stop paying these crazy salaries

That would be best for him and the bengals. Part on good terms and let the bengals get some trade capital back

Everyone can thank adams and Hopkins, but jj has earned that money being a top 5 wr since day 1.

The bigger problem for salary caps are when guys like Daniel Jones asking for top 5 money. That's like Christian kirk asking for top 5 money, it's ridiculous and ruins it for everyone

Trade capital? You expect them to trade him during the season, when he is a UFA after this season? Boyd is about to become a FA as well in 2024.

I don't see them tanking their 2023 chances when they've been so close for two straight years.

If my research is correct -

Khalil Mack OLB - 6 years and $141 mill
Davante Adams WR - 5 years and $140 mill
Trent Williams LT - 6 years and $138 mill
Joey Bosa OLB - 5 years and $135 mill

JJ is going to get paid. Period. Even if he doesn't surpass any of these contracts and just gets close.

JJ based on his age and production should surpass Tyreek Hill
