Dimitroff built 2 different NFC championship rosters with 2 different coaching staffs. He had his problems with drafting defense but for the most part he did a pretty good job while he was here. I think Blank wanting everyone from the 2016 team to stick around is a big reason for the cap problems we are gonna have the next few years. Blank needs to take a step back and let the professionals do their job.

It seems he has finally done that.

I don't disagree. But Dimi's biggest failures were his big reaches in the draft. He constantly thought he was smarter than everyone else, and wasted picks on guys like Hageman and Jalen Collins.

Still, he should have at least one ring, if not two. The loss to SF in 2012 was probably worse than the loss to NE in 2016

Well said.

Time to unload some cap space and trust our new leadership.

Yea I agree with his reaches on talent particularly on defense but he had an eye for offensive talent. I think our 2012 squad was better than the 2016 one, it was certainly more well rounded with a better defense. If we beat SF I think we would have beaten Baltimore but that loss doesn’t come close to 28-3. That shite will haunt this franchise until they eventually win the big one.

I always wonder what would have been had we drafted Gurley over Beasley in 2015. I tend to hate on UGA homers always wanting us to draft UGA players but I gotta think Gurley picks up that block on Hightower in the super bowl.

He also traded up too often, which resulted in having a top heavy roster with no depth from mid round picks. He then compounded that issue by handing out a few horrible contracts (Julio, Freeman, Jamon Brown, James Carpenter), and here we are.

Whiffing on the Beasley and McKinley picks were also a huge issue because those were the guys who were supposed to solve the pass rush issues.
