I've made mine up, but I'm willing to change if the grand jury report proves to be untrue.
Fortunately, for all of us, convictions aren't made up of grand jury summaries.
ETA: I browsed the article you linked... I don't doubt JoePa did a million good things in his long life... but it SEEMS he chose not to push action when he should have. IMO

JoePa ran that town and knew about the incident in 2002 and still allowed Sandusky to have his camps for years after on Penn State's property, and allowed him to personally use the facilities until days before his arrest. he didn't contribute to world peace or spend his life feeding starving children, he coached football for christ's sake. get some perspective people.
frick that old bastard.

I think that's right
He had a long and accomplished career. He did a tremendous number of things the right way and left a lasting legacy of football success and a reputation for good character.
It is even more sad as a result of this to see him revealed as imperfect when his bad judgement in the Sandusky case probably resulted in a lot more kids being hurt over the last decade.
And sure he deserves condemnation for this. It does seem clear that he (not the president, not the board of trustees) ran PSU and Sandusky was apparently protected because of his affiliation with Jo Pa and a desire of the administration to avoid a nasty scandal. If Paterno were less powerful and Sandusky less sheltered this would have probably stopped a lot sooner... and that is an awful thing to have on your soul
