I wouldn't travel to the emerald bowl either.

I wasn't happy with LSU's season, but at least we didn't end up like USC.

- Down season
- Emerald Bowl
- Starting tailback left at home to finish "paperwork"
- Three players inelligble due to grades.

I'll still take USC's season this year. We beat a top 10 team on the road and haven't lost 5 games.

Good we're both happy. You get the Emerald Bowl and its $850,000 payout and we're in the Capital One Bowl for a $4,500,000 payout.

We blew out Penn State last season in a much better bowl while you and the Ben Folds Five got a job at Chik Fil A.

USC had a slightly better year than we did last year, but we're really splitting hairs here comparing them because they are strikingly similar.

Inexperienced, young QB (at least yours didn't set the record for pick sixes)

Lost important coordinators

Big, slow, overconfident defense

Yep....pretty similar. I imagine USC will be back in a big way next year. They obviously need a better DC and better defensive personnel. If they get that, and Barkley improves (which he will), they will be fine.

As for Joe the Show. frick him. Good luck flopping in the pros. Nobody ruined your life but you, pal.

Sounds like we're reversing roles this year.

We're in the better bowl and you're back there somewhere closer to the hind tit!

Pretty much. Although we haven't lost five games. Yet.

Our schedule next season is the softest, most SEC like OOC schedule I have seen in some time at SC, so I imagine our record will be much better. I imagine Lache Seastrunk (or a recruit very much like him) will have an opportunity to have an immediate impact at SC with the departure of Joe McKnight to the NFL looking more and more likely.

All of your losses came at the hands of PAC 10 teams, so I'm afraid you aren't making much sense.

Seastrunk is not McKnight. They are different. They don't play the same role on a team. Seastrunk would not be a McKnight replacement.

It makes perfect sense. SEC teams "beat up on each other" in conference, or so the saying goes, so they schedule soft OOC. USC is doing the same thing next season. That way you're not so "beat up" when taking on the better teams in conference.

Seastrunk is a running back who's ready to play at the next level now, much as Trent Richardson was ready to play this season for Bama.

He will be an immediate impact player, and though Allen Bradford will get the majority of the carries for USC next season, he'll need another good RB to spell him. Seastrunk is probably perfect for that role.

I'll buy that. Good explanation.

I agree that Seastrunk is ready now and he'll contribute to whichever team he chooses.

But he's not a McKnight-Bush type player who can line up as a WR. He's more of a scat back.
