41-0 against Rayville tonight. Ran the clock in the 2nd half.

I was in the stands Friday. Rayville is SOFT. They are also extremely poorly coached. They got flagged for illegal procedure on the opening kickoff of the game.

Jena's running game did NOT look sharp, and if it weren't for the fact that they started 90% of their drives in Rayville territory... they wouldn't have been close to 41 points(7 of which came from a defensive TD).

Bump

Jim how much money would you like to put at stake on the prediction?

Just revisiting this thread after Jena got blown out by ASH and then beat by Avoyelles... Avoyelles who never punts, never throws, and onside kicks every single time. How do you lose to a team when you know their playbook?

Lets revisit what they have done so far:

2A Winnfield (W 48-22) Record 1-6
2A Rayville (W 41-0) Record 2-5
1A Block (W 46-0) Record 0-7
4A Grant (W 37-0) Record 0-7
5A ASH (L 45-12) Record 6-1
3A* Avoyelles (L 22-18)Record 3-4
3A* Peabody (W 31-0) Record 0-7
Opponent's Combined Record 12-37

Upcoming:
3A* Marksville Record 5-2
3A* Caldwell Record 6-1
3A* Bolton Record 3-4

That game against Bolton should be a gimmie win, but the next two against Marksville and Caldwell could put Jena looking at a 5-4 record.

They've only won 5 playoff games in their history, only ones who thought they had a run were from Jena or talked to Jena people.

Seriously who cares about 2A and 3A without the private school teams? Those titles are seriously the biggest joke of all.

Once watched a 2A title during the split in while two teams traded onside kicks ot of necessity because no one could kick the ball. One team kicked the ball backwards on a kickoff. That epitomizes what the split has done to the 2A and 3A title.

I'll agree, 3A is a joke, only bc the should-be contenders are down like Sterlington, Madison Prep, St. James, etc.

2A is still legit though. Many-Amite should be good

Many is one of the teams that couldn’t kickoff. Have a tough time seeing them competing with the catholic school teams when you can’t kickoff.
