So you get a fantastic deep ball thrower

Are you referring to Taylor? Because if so...

Taylor is bridge QB and nothing more.

I don’t disagree. But if you aren’t taking Barkley, I wouldn’t take Chubb. Trade out of that pick and take guice or someone later

Think he meant Bradley, not Nick. Bradley Chubb wouldn't be a bad option at #1. Pass rusher is far more valuable than RB.

Good moves for browns.

They have a new gm. They had 6 picks in first 60.
They got serviceable parts.
Solid moves.
I hope they pick the OG with pick 4.
I'm not sure about Barkley due to his less than impressive games in big10. Fast though. Wow and strong. I guess.
2 or 3 years at best.
Trade down.
Let qb concern drive a trade down to Denver or jets.
Get another starter plus high #1 and take best available. Good ones left.

#Browns acquired: Tyrod Taylor, Jarvis Landry, Damarious Randall

#Browns gave up: 2018 3rd-round pick (No. 65), 2018 4th-round pick, 2019 7th-round pick, DeShone Kizer

Browns got a damn good haul for those picks.

they have to pay landry now but they can super-front load the deal to make it cap friendly

just pay him a $25M roster bonus this year and a $5M salary. they have enough cap room to absorb that. sprinkle in a $10M signing bonus and that's $40M in year one ("guaranteed") with a super cap hit of $32M in year 1 and then you only have the $2M/year cap hit for the signing bonus left. if he gets the same years/money as mike evans, the remainder is a very reasonable 4/$42M

according to this, with a $32M cap hit this year, they'd still have $65M in cap room this year...so kind of a chunk (this includes tyrod's hit, too)
