Just because Mike Greenberg has a huge man crush on Winston doesn't mean he's the next big thing in the NFL. Someone only listens to what ESPN is feeding them. Wait until he plays actual defenses. Wasn't Geno Smith suppose to be a big deal in the NFL?

He's a great college QB and AU will have their hands full. I expect him to put up big numbers in the Natty. It's just jumping the gun to say he's going to be better than Luck. It's said that Luck is the best QB prospect to come out since Elway.

WAY too early to tell. Many good college QB's don't excel at the next level. Luck will be an elite QB, I'd hesitate to call anyone playing in the college ranks a future elite NFL QB.

I agree its not likely he'll be better than Luck.

I still think he's got a bright NFL future.

I dont think I've seen a BCS QB as polished for a RS Fr. Manziel was the better playmaker. But Jameis makes NFL Throws right now.

How much will he improve? Thats up to him. I hear he's football smart.

But he has to land in the right situation in the NFL.

Against very weak opponents. Boston College, Nevada, Pittsburg, Syracuse, Wake Forest, etc.

When I say NFL throws.

I mean tight window throws. Throws where only the WRs can catch them.

I discard the wide open throws QBs make in college. Anyone can do that. But there are passes he makes that simply no one but the Wr can catch.

If we're talking about that then let's talk about Mettenberger's throws, especially to Jarvis Landry. Keep in mind, he played behind a horrible offensive line and against better teams.

Mett is a legit NFL QB as well. No one has a stronger arm in college than him imo.

With the right development, situation. I think he can be a less mobile Joe Flacco.

That knee of his was already injured. Watch him be a little more better on his feet after this ACL surgery. Mett will be a big deal in the NFL.

Who have you EVER heard say any of those 2 QBs were NFL caliber ? DUMMY.

The ACC is awful and has been for 10 years, Griffen was going to be all world, NOT.

JFF will not be a great NFL QB, great NFL QBs are a rare breed, Manning, Elway, Brady, GBs QB, they don't come around that often and many can't miss QBs MISS.

If J.W. and FSU played in the SEC they would lose 3 to 4 games, see TAMU this year they really thought they were going , 12-0, they did lose to 3 top 5 schools by 7 or less but that is the SEC for you, not a league where Duke can go 10-2 ....

Oh shut the hell up you stupid hicks. FSU is the best team in the nation. If they were in the Sec, they would have been the favorites for the title right from the beginning. Remember when you rednecks said Missouri couldn't compete? Well they only lost one game in the vaunted SEC in double overtime.

ETA: What is hilarious is the fact that according to y'all, only SEC qbs could ever possibly be a good prospect because no other player plays a real schedule. But the fact remains that most Nfl qbs come from outside the SEC

I dont think people realize how talented they are.

Would they blow out everyone in the SEC like they did the ACC? Heck no.

But I see them only losing maybe 1 SEC game if they were in the conference imo.

Prolly 2 games in the SEC west and a game each in the Big 12/Pac 12

FSU is the most talented te in the country. If they were in the Sec, they would have been the favorite to win the conference. They may have dropped a game, but multiple losses is unlikely

FSU played one team that finished in the top 25. I highly doubt they could have ran through Bama, LSU, Auburn, and A&M unscathed. Possible, but unlikely.

The Big 12 is also tough to go through undefeated because you play everyone in the league and play 9 league games. The Pac 12, I could see them losing to Stanford, Oregon, or ASU.

They are just fortunate they played in a horrible ACC and never got tested.

While i admit they played in a weak conference, it is also easy to see they are one of the best teams in the nation. If you put them in the SEC, they would be tested. With a very good chance to drop a game. But those people saying they would lose 3-4 games are assinine
