Our draft is gonna look one of two ways

1st round Penei Sewell
2nd round WR(possibly Dyami Brown, Terrace Marshall is gonna go before our pick IMO)

Or

1st round Jamar Chase
2nd round IOL(Eichenberg?)

How many Super Bowls did Bill Belichick make it to by signing "me first" players and encouraging to play for the contract?

Every Super Bowl he won included players who were playing for a contract

I hate to shatter your worldview here but every player in the league is putting themselves first when they make decisions in the league

That would be a steal

He's very likely a first rounder. Wyatt Davis or Ben Cleveland could be available

Oh really?

quote:

Brady agreed to a one-year extension that will keep him in Tampa Bay through the 2022 season, and once again he took a contract that is structured in a way that provides flexibility to allow his team to make other moves. His terms for 2022 are not yet known, but what is known is the fact that his new extension created $19 million in 2021 cap space.

He’s been doing this for over 20 years now, and understands that being the highest paid quarterback in the league doesn’t equate to being on the best team.

I’m not sure they have to go receiver early in the draft. They should take an offensive lineman in both the first and second round.

So we are supposed to be happy he quit on the team right before the season started?

He shite canned our season. We were bad. But if he is a top 3 player, then we'd be a but better with him. Smith led his team to the title. Couldn't Chase have done something similar.

No, I said plain as day earlier feel free to want guys to stay and be disappointed with his decision if you want.

Just be honest is where that comes from and stop trying to make it so personal and shite talk them for doing the same thing you’re doing (being selfish) you only care because it effect you

Not with LSUs roster last year no.

But atleast you’re finally admitting in this statement what you’re really upset about; it’s not about teammates, or coaches, or being a good guy, he simply made a decision that effected your favorite team negatively and you don’t like it. That’s fine but I lose respect for you if you turn that into an actual attack on a kids character for doing what they think is best for them and their family.

Brady also has a wife who makes tens of millions of dollars. He could make $0 and his family would be rich. Most players in the league don’t have that same luxury of not having to the the family provider financially.

Brady takes less money so he can be on a team that wins. Blows up your every player in the league is putting themselves first.

Some players love to compete and win. Many players just want a paycheck.

Actually he didn’t he just structured the deal in a way to circumvent the cap like a ton of players have done this year

He also got another year added into his contract so there’s a benefit for him as well

At some level it is about the money for brady, or else he would just take the vet minimum

Why did Brady leave NE then? Shouldn’t he have thought about his teammates and coaches? Is it possible that he selfishly wanted to go to a better situations at his age with nice weather? Sounds like exactly what my point was

All players want the paycheck.

It’s a lot easier to sacrifice the paycheck for winning when you’ve already made a frick ton of money that isn’t comparable at all to Jamar chase and I have no idea how you went to this insane rabbit hole to try to prove that point but I’m not surprised

ETA the cherry on top of this, is that the Bucs resigned Fournette with that cap space and guess what? He sat out in college too  must not be a winner!!!

It doesn’t take away from anything Burrow did or his future, but good lord the talent he had to work with was incredible. That LSU offense was jaw dropping in real time and only looks better as time passes.

2019 LSU-Bama had stupid loaded offenses.

I feel like this game gets more overlooked than it should because Bama had a letdown year by their standards (2 loss let down year ) but it should be talked about like 2011 LSU-Bama when looking at the talent on the field that night

These dolts don’t realize that high school players are signing a letter of intent to play at a college, but their scholarship is a 1 year contract

The players wanted that, not the coaches.

Well yeah. Players come and go, my alma mater doesn’t. The players are just pawns to me. Most of them don’t care about they can do for the school or program, just what it can do for them, what they can get out of the arrangement and that’s it. Why would I care when half of a recruiting class will either never see the field or make no difference when they do?

this is so funny to me.

When I was in HS, our team made the state championship in football and lost. The next year, our star QB/S got his dream D1 basketball offer and decided to skip his senior year of football.

And us, his teammates, all understood and supported his decision. Even though we knew our chances to win a ship were gone. Bummed about it, sure, but we harbored no ill will toward him.

And we were all a bunch of HS football players who knew this was our last year of football. Half of Chase’s teammates are pursuing the same future as him. None of them are upset at him or anyone else who opts out of free football to secure the bag and set their family up for life

That’s not really the same situation as Chase sitting out for no reason, but you already knew that.
