iverson is an enigma

he's very moody and can be a total a-hole, but he breaks down when giving a scholarship to kisd

he's lazy as shite in some areas of his life, and he's a diligent worker in others

he is aloof and has a "doesn't give a shite" attitude often, but he plays with the heart of a certain white RB we all love

allen iverson is the american dream

That guy loves basketball which he has been playing every day for the past 14 years. I don't blame him.

I couldnt disagree with you more.

Iverson looks to me like someone that had the only thing he'd ever known and loved taken away from him. And he now he is going back to the team that he came into the league with and had an unceremonious exit from.

That shite was real son.

It really shouldn't even be a debate. I think Truman is the only person on the planet that thinks that was fake. You want fake? Most saw it, but ARod's apology to his teammates at ST was hilarious.

ETA: Just now got to watch the video, he actually comes across as very genuine to me in the press conf.. He just seems to me as being a man who loves to play basketball, but is backside of his career and doesn't think he is. The reason he's in the situation he's in is his own fault and he admits that. I hope it works out for him, but he's done being a superstar in the league.

When he came back to Philly, got a huge ovation from the fans and started tearing up was that fake too? He's been through hell with the Sixer organazation and he's humbled that they would be the team to take him back.

I don't see why that's hard for some people to figure out.lol.

one of the most disingenuous displays I've ever seen. Right up there with T.O. crying and Michael Irvin's Fame speech

I don't understand how retards like you think that these guys can produce tears at will. Look at the entire picture with AI...he is a former great player who has been humbled as frick the last 2 years and has been given a chance to go back to the place that started it all for him. HOW DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT?

I get it...he's black and he has tattoos...he has no feelings whatsoever.

Irvin's speech, if anything, was one of the most genuine speeches you will ever see. You are just to stubborn to realize that.
