This is such a dumb take. No one is rushing the field just because they want to take a selfie. They are rushing the field because they are having fun, and they want to be a part of it.

I doubt the grown men who rushed the field did it for photos. In twenty years, they won't have the "content" but they will remember rushing the field.

There is a picture with Nuss with the fans living his absolute best life. The players loved it. I recall Trey Quinn surfing after a game once.

How many people in that picture have their phones out?

You got to be old to understand my post but I liken the field rushing moments to the hippie craze back in the 60's. The younger generation was looking for something "different" to do for fun and entertainment as opposed to just "being". Drugs and music were the "rush" they were getting.

Storming the field or court nowadays is their "anti-establishment" movement. It'll phase out eventually.

Both. Tell kids they can't do something, they do it. Fine them, they do more.

See cigarettes and vaping.

One thing I’ve noticed is that the only people who really care about a field storming are either total fricking losers, old farts, or fans of the team that lost.

Why on earth would college football fans be upset with people having FUN at games. It’s already turning into the corporate 5 hour commercial fest, why not enjoy wins? What the hell is all of this for if not to enjoy it?
