I didn't mean to imply that was a bad thing, think more like tough and cocky. I'm sure it has a lot to do with his success. And he's a pretty cool guy, still run into him on occasion. And he's humble about his success

I think that the nature of each sport changes so much that it is silly to argue about someone being the greatest of all time. Plus people have short memories and people naturally lean towards players that they see actually play, as opposed to those they only read about.
So in my opinion the best someone can be is the best of their era.
