Tiger is the greatest golfer of all-time.

There is not a single golfer in the history of the world that has been as good as Tiger for as long as Tiger. Nicklaus wasn't as good as Tiger at both of their peaks.

The only reason he doesn't have quite as many majors as Nicklaus is because he's had injury trouble for years... mostly from carrying the PGA on his back for so long.

Golf courses also used to be easier when Nicklaus played. They changed the courses and made them more difficult specifically because Tiger Woods was so dominant.

I'm not. I'm not. I'm saying Jack's career is more dominant than Tiger's, and more accomplished.

Jesus Christ. So much fallacy in this post. They changed courses because of Nicklaus as well.

He gave so much back so that the game could be dominated by the flood of young Afican Americans following in his footsteps!

Oh wait.

Are their any young Thai guys?

It has always offended me that his black half gets all the credit. How is that not racist?

Yeah
He could have all the advantages of modern equipment, specifically the long irons and driver/fairway woods, while hitting bladed scoring irons.
Hard to argue that he'd be even better than he already was.

Would modern equipment have made Jack better?

Yes but it would've also made the field he plays against better. It's not like today's equipment would only elevate Jack's,it would elevate his opponents as well putting gap back to where it was with the Older equipment.

Funny enough, Tiger actually had a big impact on golf in Asia.

I know, I stopped at 4 major wins. It would be uglier for Tiger to keep going, but point was made.

Well, tiger has done what he's done with modern equipment.
It'd be interesting to have seen what jack could have done with it.

As tidebaw mentioned earlier, woods ain't hitting a persimmon 350 with any consistency. Jack did. Jack would have smoked modern drivers with torque and horses well into his late 40's. That's why I say prolly 22.

Or we could say that the competition in Jack's era was so weak that only a select handful of golfers were capable of winning majors.

But in Tiger's era, there were so many capable golfers that nobody stood out... except for Tiger because he was head and shoulders better than everyone.

Who's to say?

If you think Jack can out-drive Tiger you're out of your horny little adolescent mind.

My point is we don't know. You can't say Jack's competition was better due to how many majors other players won.
