Is the clock about to run out on Andrew Luck’s career as a starter/Colts QB?

The guy is a great QB when healthy, but the problem is, he’s rarely healthy. Shoulder injuries, calf issues, etc. It just seems like he will never be healthy enough to lead the Colts on a deep playoff run again.

If he is healthy, he is the starter. It's pretty simple

Their o-line needs to not ooze suckage on a game to game basis.

If he's healthy, he's near the top tier in the league.

They bomb out and end up in a position to draft a high quality replacement, maybe.

And there would be some symmetry in that considering they got him because Peyton lost a year to a neck injury and they got the first overall pick.

If they aren’t in a position to take a QB as good or better than him, they will keep on with him until that opportunity arises.

They probably do better with Luck having limited availability than they would be with other QBs being 100% healthy.

But when he isn’t healthy a lot of the time, do the Colts eventually have to move on from him?

The O-Line is great. Only gave up 18 sacks last season, best in the league. Try again.

This has to be a troll. What is this? The third thread like this in a week?

Is there a strain of swine flu going around that turns people retarded?

They are highly unlikely to dump Luck before the 2020-2021 offseason.

Dumping him now is a $25m dead cap hit. Dumping him next season is a $6.4m dead cap hit. No hit for 2021 but he is “only” getting $11m as opposed to market value for a starting QB.

Sorry, I didn’t see another thread on it.

I’ll go start another James Harden thread or something.

They were good last year. Not so much the previous years.

I guess that's ok. You Ravens fans need something to do now that you can't debate whether Flacco is elite anymore.

Yeah, last year they were and he played almost the entire season.

They were terrible the last few years causing him to miss multiple games and an entire season.

He was practically untouched at the end of the season last year.

My first comment wasn't year specific.

My point is that when their line sucks like it has multiple of the last 5 years, he's hurt. When they're good, he's healthy and incredible.

It's on the GM to keep a consistently good line and not give up on Luck due to his failures to put support around him.
