Is the big 10 to blame for college football being postponed or cancelled?

The SEC came out with their revised schedule yesterday and planned to play while the Big ten has meetings to cancel their season today. Now everyone in the power 5 might follow their footsteps. OSU was the first one to cancel practice this summer , the first ones to say they will have no tailgating and only 20% fans, and the first to say they arent having practice in pads (today). There's less covid cases in the northern states and they're the ones that are backing out. What a pitiful conference. Thought the big ten was "leaders and legends"?

They didn't have meetings to cancel the season today though?

Regular meeting of Presidents that some sports people made opinion based tweets that it could lead to cancelling the season.

Meetings would be over. Nothing about cancelled anything yet.

I don't think it's just the big 10. They along with the pac 12 are certainly driving it.

Presidents and admins at these university's are very progressive this purely a political decision on their part.

Each conference should decide for themselves and not care what the other conferences do. If the SEC has the guts to play and make tons of money, good for them. The champion will come from the SEC anyways

Screw those Yankee clowns. The conference that has won one title in the last 18 years should be irrelevant to this decision making

How do you consistently have the worst CFB takes on this board?

Yes, they should but they'll probably all do the same thing.

It was a regularly scheduled meeting but the whole ongoing situation was assuredly discussed.

They did pause "day 3" of training camp indefinitely, so no pads.

Lol. I don’t like this, either, but some of the largest research universities in the country are not going to be “irrelevant.”

Because it has nothing to do with player safety, they’re not in any danger, and anyone who says they are, is being flat out dishonest.

The people pushing it are so shameless, and so low, that they will never accept responsibility for what they’re doing.

I want to see a list of all the Pac-12 and B1G players that signed those United pledges.

Every single one of them found to be going out to a bar this semester needs to lose scholarship and be kicked out of school.

For being a danger to the community according to their own words. Seems like that is a slamdunk item in the student code of conduct.
