Is SI.com the worst sports media website?

I used to think it was ESPN, but they seem to have streamlined theirs.
With SI, it seems that every article is now accompanied by a video that launches immediately upon opening. Just now I was reading an article on re-grading the 2013 NFL draft, and there's sound coming from who knows where. Not only that, any time your mouse passes over the top bar to select a league/sport, it brings down a menu that takes up half of the screen.

Most websites are horrible now. Filled with clickbait. Even this one.
I like the clean boring drudge format

espn has always been pretty good. si/bleacher report crap is terrible now.

Does Bleacher Report still do the 50 page slide shows?
If so, then "no" is the correct answer.

Yeah I was gonna ask about Bleacher Report. Seems like every time a BR article is linked or quoted, the response is pretty negative.

It is way up there. It's a shame too because SI has some good writers on there

The Bleacher Report single handily made me hate online slideshows.

There are ads now that Open up the App Store without your permission, then you have to close that down, re-load /refresh the article just to read some bullshite update about why "The Cowboys new 3-headed monster will keep Elliott fresh for a post season run"
Now, if they pull that shite, I close the app, the article, refuse to read it. Eventually, I'll stop going to their site altogether like I have a few others. SI was much better before Peter King branched off MMQB

Flipboard and Feedly are a great way to browse websites with pop-up Hell, Adblock blockers, and "we are blocking you because you read too many articles " nag screens.

The thing with the videos, at least on SI, is that they are on the page itself. I always use AdBlocker, but it can't make up for a terribly non-user friendly site.

What's the point of online slideshows? Is it artificially generate clicks and hits on the site? I can't think of any other reason they would exist as they're miserable for users.

ESPN does that shite with the auto video too.
It doesn't matter how many times I tell it to not play the video. It will do it the next time I open the browser.
Hell, the other day I went to one of ESPN's fricking player stats pages to see Evan Fournier's career stats and even on that there was a god damn video that auto played.

ESPN's is real real bad. Not only is the content created either by a computer program or a team of remedial 4th graders, they also have serious bandwidth issues. I logged on the other day to try to see what a certain score was in an NBA game and I swear it the score of a game that had already been finished for 30 minutes up as like 82-83 with 3 minutes to go in the 3 rd quarter.
I'm like, really? Y'all make how much money?
