Do you not know how to read?
I asked him if the violent response by blm and antifa was, in his opinion, the way to rally unity. His non-response was that he was a cop and had veterans in his family. My reply was sarcasm CLEARLY directed at the aforementioned movement to highlight the absurdity of this type of protest and the severity of it's consequences.

This is the classic missed opportunity (thanks to a politically motivated vocal minority), and the Brees situation fits it perfectly. Brees is probably like the majority of whites; supports the spirit of the movement unequivocally, but feels that kneeling, rioting, dissolving police departments etc is not the path to fixing it. Rather than have a real debate, these voices are shouted down, labeled as racists, and forced to capitulate to the mob. Now we are more divided than ever, and the larger issues in the community get abandoned for fear of cancel culture and labeling.

It blows my mind that more people cannot see this.

Go back and read, my friend. That's not how it went down. I believe that is what you meant to happen. You even said this in one of your first responses...
quote:

You and your friends burning my community to the ground and looting won’t make cops, or anyone else, respect you more.

Definitely agree here.

Your inability to comprehend hyperbole, sarcasm, and metaphor is no more my responsibility than the ills of the black community in minneapolis is. Support (tacit or otherwise) is enablement. Blacks who fail to speak out, or allow leftist whites to mangle the message in an election year are culpable. Remember; "silence is violence".

I honestly don't know how many times I need to spell this out for you. Not everything is a dog whistle.

I’ve flown Ryan Clark and his son on a private jet before so life has been ok to them. RC seemed like an extremely nice guy and his son seems like a good kid, I’m honestly kinda surprised by him acting like this after meeting him.

Dude Ryan Clark’s kid is ultra privileged. Yes I think he could accomplish whatever he wants with his daddy there.
