So then you should be completely ok with everything Rory has said the past 2 years, right?

I am mad about it. Why wouldn't I be. I loved the PGA product for a long time and it has been a big part of my Sunday afternoons for a long time.

Seems like that will be changing now. I guess I will have more free time that I need to fill with another hobby or something to watch, but I am not happy about it like you are.

Yeh I’m pretty sure the pga tour was scared the second they saw an endless money supply willing to burn cash in guaranteed salaries came along

Sure. I mean I think he was being a bitch by demanding other players feel the way he feels, but I don’t begrudge Rory for doing what is best for himself.

Why? Because no Rahm? Clearly you aren’t a very big fan.

This is the dumbest take that keeps getting repeated. You're not going to stay up in the middle of the night watching LIV golf tournaments in Europe and Asia. You're just not, and you know you're not.

And more golf =/= better golf. Having two tours compete for the best players makes both tours watered down. That is not compelling. It just turns every golf tournament into these PGA events you say you don't care to watch

Rahm not being in the Byron Nelson doesn’t move my meter at all.

what about him not being in the Players, Memorial, Bay Hill, Wells Fargo, AT&T, Genesis, etc? That doesn't "move your meter'? But LIV events do move your meter? You're not even making intellectually honest arguments anymore. You're better than that, or so I thought

Not one iota.

It’s more golf to watch. Not sure why you’re having issues comprehending that.

That makes absolutely zero sense

So how much does LIV move your meter?

Who doesn't like having young superstars play on sunday of a tournament? Rahm is a huge blow to the PGA, same as Cam Smith was and some others. I'm not interested in watching two watered down tours when I used to be able to watch one great tour.

1. Because you're not going to be watching all that golf, and 2. you've talked down on minor tour stops as if you don't care about them. So this argument about "more golf" is bullshite

Bond argument

LSU vs Alabama is one game

Splitting the two teams, and playing lsu 1 vs bama 1/ lsu 2 bs bama 2 is more football, and the second game is on at 1am

It’s a ridiculous argument

So that's the reason you're happy Rahm is going to LIV? Not because it helps you watch more of him play golf, but because it means other people are upset about it? That seems incredibly weird to me to delight in the frustrations of other people to such an extent.

Maybe this is the thing that forces the two tours to come together after the initial framework agreement seems to have stalled out. It just sucks as a golf fan. There have been a couple LIV events that have been fun, but for the most part it just lacks so much juice. At the same time the announcers are telling you how great everything is and it just seems a little fake.

I'm glad some people have enjoyed it, but I feel like for most golf fans this has been a huge L.

Dummy. I still watch pga 4 days a week. ADDITIONALLY, I watch LIV. That is more golf.

Watching more golf would mean new golfers that weren’t currently playing were brought in. That isn’t happening

DJ, cam, brooks, and Rahm will not be playing more. You aren’t watching more. You are watching the same about of golf being played by the best players, just separately

The top 50 players in the world aren’t playing more now. They are just playing separately more. Objective facts

k. I have a very close, lifelong friend on tour. I know four or five tour members. I watch golf all of the time. You care about the top players and likely know zero about anyone outside of the top 20. There a plenty of great golfers on tour, even without Rahm.
