Not sure why people keep using the 2014 TCU/Baylor comparison. It's apple to oranges. Ohio State's 2016 resume shits on theirs from 2 years ago

The reason people keep.bringing it up is because the reason that was as given for leaving them out is because the Big 12 didn't have a conference championship game to decide a winner. Everybody agreed back then you needed a conference championship just like the other 4 conferences. Now all of a sudden that's not a criteria to get in. Funny how that works when the shoe is on the other foot.

I'm more worried about who wins our CCG than your tearful post. If PSU wins, they could send them over us. If Wisky wins, I don't see it happening.

The reason they bring it up is because they're idiots. They've latched on to a stupid point because they don't know any better. In 2014, TCU was at least close to Ohio State.

Additionally, do you think it is at all fair that OSU gets this "extra" week to prep for a playoff game...?

Do you think it's fair that Clemson and Washington played their entire season in shite conferences?

I suggest you readjust your thinking then. The system is flawed yes, but it always will be. There was more argument when it was just 2 teams in the BCS but 2011 set the precedent. Best 4 teams get in regardless of conference affiliation or championship. Ohio State is absolutely one of those 4.

Let's say Bama loses the SECCG to Florida. Should the be left out in favor of a 3 loss team that got lucky? Get real

I agree with you to a point. This is the playoff era, not the BCS era. So any "precedent" doesn't apply.

Where I agree is that maybe a conference championship loss should NOT totally keep a team out of the Top 4, especially if they were undefeated heading into that game.
However, I'm open to the idea of a prequalifier for playoff discussion: be your conference division winner AT LEAST. That leaves you with 10 Power 5 teams under the umbrella of consideration +/- an "at-large" conference undefeated like ND, W. Michigan (to use an example from this year), etc for the Top 4 slots.
