After the Mike Evans topic I figured this is another Buc legend worthy of discussion.

Negative. Wasn't even the best linebacker in the NFC South during his career in Tampa.

Absolutely. Dude’s been one of the best for a long time.

Why aren't TFL's a more prominent stat? Once again David is near the top but I'd be interested in career totals.

Agreed. I remember when John Lynch and Ronde Barber were only hall of very good but now they have a bust in Canton.

I figure Luke kuechly probably gets in if he gets in it's gonna be hard to leave David out.

Whether or not you agree with accolades they do make a difference. Doesn’t mean David won’t get in but I guarantee you voters will not see David and Kuechly on the same level. David has 3 all-pro selections. Kuechly has 7 all-pro selections, NFL DPOY, and was named to the All-Decade team

I do think David was an underrated player bc he usually didn’t get the praise he deserved until later. But that also means that lack of deserved praise is going to likely carry over to HOF voting

I just found it Aaron Donald is the leader among active players with 168 career TFL's while Lavonte David has 148 at 5th among active players. David isn't even a DL or edge rusher that is extremely impressive. I knew he been in the top 5-10 a lot of years but holy shite!

One pro bowl they really do frick you on the media awards if you play in Jacksonville or Tampa.

Even his first team all pro year didn't come with a pro bowl.

If he was a Jet or Giant he'd probably get in.
