When hit by a ball?

Or are there rules allowing a drop (golf ball stuck up in a tree?)

What? If a ball gets stuck in a tree you have to take an unplayable. And if you can’t identify it, you have to drop from where you last hit and take a penalty. Patrick Reed had a rule controversy with this exact situation a few years back.

If you hit a person, you play it where it lies. If it gets stuck in a chair or something like that, free drop at that spot

It’s a penalty if you hit your own caddie with a ball because your caddie is considered part of your equipment.

Pretty sure it’s a penalty on you if anyone hits your caddie.

No. Only if you hit your own caddie.
