I don't think that gus can defeat bama with his playbook.

Auburn might be the worse #4 ranked team this late in the year that I've seen in some time. I think they have gotten extremely lucky and should probably be a 8-3 team and not a 9-1 team.

It's an elite rivalry that's for sure. I'm sure the atmosphere will be electric at JHS, however it isn't a game that is a "must watch". I think most people expect Auburn to struggle greatly on offense against Alabama. Unfortunately, it'll be a lot like Michigan and Ohio State. Great powerhouse teams, great rivalries, but will fall short in the "must see" category.

It should be a competitive game. Auburn always seems to give Bama trouble when they have a good team. Hostile environment. It won't be as easy for Bama as some think.

Bama rolls. Forces auburn to have to throw and they fail. 31-17 prediction.

I was hoping south Alabama would play at home this week. I would rather watch them take on Georgia state than watch the iron bowl. It will be the better game anyway.

Go jag$ !!!!!!!!!

Its a must watch IMO, but that is because it is 1 vs 4. Not because it is Alabama vs. Auburn.

These are my thoughts exactly.

But I usually don't watch games based on the rivalry factor.

Yep. Every other rivalry game is entirely dependent on records for watchability. Army/Navy is the only one that is must see TV every year, no matter what.

I usually feel this way too.

My other rule of thumb is not watching ND, regardless of who their "rival" is that week.

It's not a yearly must watch. But I probably tune in more often than not. This seasons certainly feels more important than any I can remember. I don't typically watch a lot of SEC football outside of LSU. And LSU will always be second tier to me, if the Texas game is at the same time.

well, come on now.

sure he can.

but he won't.

I don't think Auburn's defense is all that much better than last year. I mean, they do seem to get more turnovers and that is the perfect combo with the type of offense they run. But Alabama rarely turns the ball over.

I think Gus will have some new wrinkles for this week and Alabama doesn't have an elite pass rusher... but I still don't see Nick Marshall doing all that much.

I think Auburn can run it some on Alabama but definitely not enough to get it done.

Alabama has the edge in the kicking game too IMO. Usually they've been suspect n this area but this year they are a lot better.
