he better pick it up after that low rebound total last night. He gotta average over 12 per game. That likely won’t happen. The difference will be a couple uncontested ft rebounds. And look how much those meaningless rebounds will mean to those who bought into the triple double narrative. He goes from the winner to 4th or 5th. You know that is ridiculous.

Harden still leads the league in scoring if you take away every players free throws.

So when you say only Korver and Love are their decent 3 point shooters, what you really mean is that 8 players have a season average 3% higher then the league average (36.3%) with 4 shootings above 40.0%?

Who are these 8 players that have actually played significantly this season?
quote:

And you also mean they despite Love missing significant time and playing a majority of the season with worse 3 point shooters until the trade, they are still 9th in 3 point percentage, which is surprisingly just ahead of your Rockets?

Do you even eFG% or TS%? Rockets shoot a lot more 3s than the Cavs, almost 10 3PA more per game. Maybe the Cavs should shoot more if they're so good at it. Are you suggesting the Cavs are better at shooting 3s than the Rockets?

quote:

So if the Cavs only have 2 decent 3 point shooters, and one of those players has missed significant time, and they still upgraded their non-decent shooters later in the season, then the Rockets must not have many decent shooters either

Rodney Hood has shot 31.8% from 3 since joining the Cavs (Shot 38% on Jazz) and George Hill has shot 33% since joining the Cavs (Shot 45% on Kings). So much for the LeBron 3pt effect.

And what in the hell is a "meaningless" free throw? How can that even exist?

I can't help you any further.

You have to find the answer yourself but you're close...very close.

Last year he was “MVP”. This year he is NOT EVEN IN THE DISCUSSION. the difference is the uncontested rebounds. Keep letting someone else shape the narrative for ya. I will continue to dig deeper than that.
Last year his BPM was 15.6; this year it is 7.9. Last year, his WS/48 (your favorite) was 0.224; this year it is 0.164.

His advanced stats are down significantly across the board. and they underachieved early on, which didn't help.

Westbrook deserved it last year. Harden deserves it this year. Rose is really the only player who was undeserving in recent years.

He won bc he averaged a triple double. That was the narrative. This year he will be a handful of rebound short and he is not even in the discussion.

LeBron has now played 8 more games than James Harden.

James Harden would average 30ppg roughly (averaging 31.2 over the season), 30*8 = 240 points that Harden could have had.

Clown show didn’t even know he had to count the games played to get a per game average that’s what we deal with here. And he gets up votes.

Per game is assumed.

The scoring title goes to the best per game average. Not the most points.
