None of us has ever seen a team win a title the way Dallas did. They aren't really good defensively, and their big men don crash the boards. This is the first time I've ever seen a team shoot so well that it made them unstoppable. To score 100+ against miami's D is an incredible feat.

This is one of the worst posts YOU have evr made. I guess YOU weren't watching the same series I was.

Pretty much every playoff series except for 2007.

Dirk finally had a championship supporting cast this year, that was the difference.

Yes. That's two guys now saying that's a bad post. Care to go in-depth? Not sure exactly what you're talking about.

"The Mavs are soft"
"Dirk can't rebound"
"Wade and James get more rebounds than the 7 footer"

You're pretty much dead wrong.

Dallas played differently in the last three games than they had played for the last near-decade. Why would this make me feel stupid? Why do the last three games change the last seven years?

Not a good point by you.

Yep.

And the Spurs defenses of the early-mid 2000's were better than Miami's. Dirk torched them.

No they didn't. Dallas played good defense all year long. They rebounded well all year long. Dirk has always been a good rebounder in the playoffs. So yeah, in what ways did they play differently the last 3 games?

They have played exeptionally tough this entire playoffs.

One of 4 players in NBA history to average 25/10 in the playoffs for his career.

"Wade and James get more rebounds than the 7 footer"

I dont believe this has ever been true

What's your point? That ONE bad playoff series somehow diminishes the fact that the dude historically averages a 25/10'ish line in the playoffs?

I'll raise your "beat by an 8th seed" with a "just won the fricking nba championship."

Terry and Barea combined for 80 points and somewhere around 50% from 3, in games 6 7.

Im not saying Dallas didnt deserve to win, it was just one of the things that had to happen for them to get a ring.

eta: games 5 and 6

Not really. Average.

Oddly enough, this was his weakest rebounding playoff season ever.

Dirk outrebounded all players, the Mavs enlisted a goon for 12 minutes a game, and the Mavs shot better than any team in history.

Nice try at being a smart arse, but you need to do a little more research.

Wade was the leading rebounder in the series thru 3 games. Then things changed.

Almost every team that wins a championship has role players that step up and play better. Games 6 and 7 weren't even their highs for the playoffs.
