You said Miami would sweep.

11 rebounds and great defense... also Dallas outrebounded Miami as a team tonight
41-30. I'm definitely surprised. But that's what Dallas has to do to win.

I don't think their defense was great, though, throughout the whole game. But they definitely got stops when it counted the most.

Looked like they were. You want a cookie?

Dallas won by doing almost exactly what I've been saying all along. They controlled the boards, played tough (or at least tougher than usual), and their best player drove to the hole more than usual, particularly on that last possession. How many times have we seen him rely on his fade to win a game? Brilliant move by Dirk to take it to the hole. That aggression makes things happen. It dares the defender to defend you closely, and it double-super-cereal-dares the refs to call a cheap foul. The result? A barely-contested near-layup.

Bravo, Dirk. Let's see if he can make a series out of this performance. I, personally, have my doubts.

So is it now acceptable to cheer for the Mavs?

frick no. Get that queer shite outta here. Dirk & Co played one night the way Wade and James have played their entire careers, and it was impressive. He'll have to do it thrice more. We'll see....

This ain't 06-07 Dirk.

I don't think I've ever seen him more focused or driven. He knows his legacy is riding on this series.

Miami doesn't have that urgency just yet so I'll take the Mavs in 7.

Classic xiv.

He'd jump off a bridge before he would admit to being wrong.

Even given the results tonight, Miami defended him well. He looked lost at times; he made four passes right into the hands of Heat defenders, and twice he committed a foul within three seconds.

Also, when it's Dirk defending Wade 1on1 on a break, I find it disappointing to see that Dirk doesn't even try to defend it. He didn't even leave his feet. I'm not being too fooled by tonight--there were plenty of signs of old soft Dirk tonight.

You got the Mavs becoming the 2nd team to ever win a Finals Game 7 on the road? Bold prediction.

The Mavs have actually been playing like this all year.

Except that old Dirk would've crumbled down 15.

Get that weak shite outta here.

I was right about how they needed to win.
I was wrong about their ability to nut up and do it.

I watched 'em somewhere between 8 and 12 times this year in the regular season as well as most of their playoff games. There are plenty of minor differences up and down the roster; Dirk plays marginally better defense, rebounds less, and shoots better.

They haven't metamorphosed as much as most would have you believe. > JMHO

Not sure what the big deal is here and why you're analyzing me like a girlfriend.

Their needs were obvious, and I saw them.
I picked the Heat to win.

Remember, I'm almost always right about this shite.

They weren't close to a Finals team last year. Dirk is more efficient and plays better defense. Chandler is great on defense. Their bench is deeper. It's a pretty big transformation, led mostly by Dirk and Chandlers' impacts.

If you want me to stop "analyzing" u like a bitch, stop acting like one. I simply pointed out an inconsistentcy in your statements and u got defensive like a bitch on the rag.

His whole "rooting for Dallas makes you a girly bitch" routine is pretty retarded, and not funny in the least bit (which I think he was going for).

Besides that, who cares.
