So you ignore 90% of the post and label it based on a couple of parting shots? Kind of disproportionate and misleading don’t you think?

You are the one that said it was Lebron defenders that made the thread about stuff other than basketball. It was clearly a Lebron hater that was the first to mention anything outside basketball.

Then tacky sweater brought up China. It's clear they cannot stick to basketball..

I was discussing FG% and league pace

He also appeared to be a ruthless dictator and brutal teammate.

And lebron is the picture of a great teammate?

The guy who blames anyone but himself?
The guy who isn't loyal to his teammates? Coaches? FO?
The guy who blames other when he is unsuccessful instead of putting it on his shoulder?
Blames the refs when they lose a game that he missed a game winner in?

quote:

Doesn’t sound far off from “whining about calls” which is one reason someone said Lebron was a terrible person in this thread.

Yes Jordan can’t take criticism. But that and being completely non self aware and complaint about foul calls to deflect blame are two very different things.
quote:

MJ also famously stayed quiet because "Republicans buy shoes too." Big time role model right there. Almost like $ was more important than anything.

Yea they are both driven by money. But Jordan just shut up and played basketball while lebron does the complete opposite.

So what you’re doing is using a misleading and untrue example to push your argument. How can anybody discuss something with you if you’re going to be dishonest?

We had a thread discussing basketball. Tacky had to make a new one today to attack Lebrons character because the other one didn't go well.

I don't give a shite about what any nba player does off the court, but since people like him and the guy that said Lebron is a shitty person do, we might as well compare him and Jordan off the court as well. It's so laughable how ate up they are by Lebron.

My favorite player growing up was Penny Hardaway. I couldn't tell you shite about his politics

Last season they played it almost 20% of the time. Not sure what it looks like this year. I clearly said it was a matchup 2-3. Any zone above middle school level should be a matchup anyway. Anybody playing basic zones is getting cooked by any coach with a pulse.

Just wanted to make sure people saw how tone deaf he is and how he lacks any sort of self awareness and has to pout and cry because he can’t get it done in clutch time.

Sure that’s attacking his character, bit it’s his basketball character and mentality.

It is. I hate draymond green, but I've never watched a post game interview of him then posted a topic about him complaining about the refs.

We could have 30 threads about professional athletes complaining about refs every day.

I should’ve said “sit back in a 2-3” instead of just saying “sit” in a 2-3. That’s what I meant, poor wording on my part, my bad.

I wasn’t necessarily saying that Lebron was better than Jordan at anything. It’s just you are hammering him while not being objective the other way.

Lebron chose to not saying anything about China as it was mentioned in this thread because of $. Jordan chose not to say anything about politics so he wouldn’t lose shoe sales. Take the blind hate out and call a spade a spade.

Best part is people are destroying him for not speaking out against China but also saying why doesn’t he shut up and dribble? Which one is it?

Character directly affects play and complaining about the refs and looking for calls on the court is a real time basketball topic. Dunno how they twisted themselves into it meaning something else but that’s what they do.

You haven’t. Several others have. It’s a common topic as is lebrons constant whining and lack of self awareness. Should we limit ourselves to only posting about what Corinthians deems relevant?

See above. He has no problems speaking out against everything else but conveniently remains silent on daddy China issues.

You honestly don’t understand the difference?

I saw embiid whining about the refs this week after their game, where was the MSB topic on it?

The board doesn't have an obsession with nba players complaining about refs, you have an obsession with Lebron

Now go through their histories and compare who complains more about the refs. Lebron or Embiid. These topics are naturally proportionate to the players who complain.

Everyone complains about the refs. Maybe you don't see it as much because you only pay attention when it's Lebron.

Luka spends the entire game complaining about the refs. Never see it posted here. Because most of us aren't obsessed with hating on Luka.

Here's Jordan complaining to the refs.

I complained about the refs when I played. It's just part of sports. And from the outside it may look silly but as a player sometimes you do feel like the refs are fricking you over.

Also, see FT discrepancy this season lol

Yea it’s part of sports to complain about refs when you’ve CLEARLY had the advantage of the refs for the entire season lol

When league coaches are calling it out, you know something is fishy

See the difference in what exactly? It seems you are saying as long as Lebron doesn’t speak out at all about anything, you would be fine with the China thing. I don’t like LeBron’s politics takes or stances at all. But I’m also not defending Michael Jordan because he stayed quiet to protect his $.

Lebron also lives in social media world compared to barely even internet for most of MJ career.

All that being said, I do understand you loathe Lebron and why. I am merely disagreeing with Lebron James being a much worse role model/person than Michael Jordan.

I think the general public wouldn’t view him as the hypocrite he is if he just played basketball.

But he’s actively spoken on some things and not others. What’s the big motto that certain groups like to use? Silence is violence?
