Could you imagine the media circus it would attract? The first game he dressed at the singing of the National Anthem. No matter what happened, kneel or not, it would fricking explode everywhere.

You think you are sick of hearing about that clown now, let him either play and do poorly or play and do well.

This thread adds to the lunacy.

With how toxic he is right now (not to mention suing the league), I’d have a tough time believing owners would make such an ill advised move like that.

That's a big reason nobody will touch him. He's good enough to play. He's not good enough to be worth the BSPN circus.

At this point the Kaepernick story reminds me of Terrell Owens. At the end everyone just wanted TO to shut up and go away. Yet... ESPN was so eaten up with TO they actually had a reporter interviewing TO in the driveway of his home while doing bench presses. TO was such a publicity whore he moved a weight bench onto his driveway. ESPN slobbered all over TO and didn’t seem to understand that most of their audience didn’t give a flying frick about TO. Colin K is not popular and no one cares. He sucked at SF his last 2 seasons. They cut him for a reason.

Come to think of it... ESPN has been out of touch for awhile.

I was watching a Giants game this year (yea I know painful)

And I saw Olivier Vernon, Landon Collins and Damon Harrison were all kneeling.

How come they didn't get cut?

If I were an NFL owner that sells a product, I'd sign him and require him to plug my product 4 times per interview.

I think your assessment is way off.

People ate that whole thing with TO/bench pressing up. It was talked about for a loooooong time.

Forget the media circus.

There would be a fan mutiny of that team.

I love watching the Saints, but if they were dumb enough to sign that piece of shite, I’m out.

With the exception of maybe the California or New York teams, I think this would be a similar reaction of most NFL teams’ fans.

Maybe they're actually good, unlike Kaepernick?

Also they didn't praise known world humanitarian Fidel Castro and say cops were modern day slave catchers.

Just a few of the reasons.

Not saying whether or not a team should, but I actually think the opposite is true.

A team signs him, it's a huge story for about a week or two, then it dies down and he's just another mediocre quarterback and we're discussing his on-field play. As some people here are pointing out, he's polarizing and might cause a team to lose some fans, but the story would fizzle after a quick burst of coverage.

The only way for this exhausting, drawn out, endless droning coverage to end is if a team actually signs him IMO. And it's definitely not a guarantee. It's possible that the cities to which he travels with his new team might act out and do something crazy that will attract another wave of coverage, like threats of violence against him or some organized protest.

He'd be the most famous NFL player since he's already the most famous ex-NFL player per se and the MSM would be offering interviews and all that good stuff to him, it'd be a Brett Favre-comparable lovefest, disgusting

To even lump Kap in an analogy with a bonafide football legend like TO is an insult to TO

Jets were thinking about it. Their switchboard got lit up with fans threatening to cancel their season tickets.

Every time I start thinking that he may have a chance at getting signed, I go open up his Twitter account. He's as openly racist as Shaun King on there. Zero chance an NFL team signs him.

Whenever I open Kap's twitter account, all I see are posts related to his "Know Your Rights" camp, his alleged blackball collusion claim and whatever constitutes leftist SJW virtue signaling bullshite nothing about sports or just fun in life in general, this dude has COMPLETELY bought into this oppressed minority SJW argument and appears more concerned about being a politician and filing collusion claims than being in the NFL
