Yeah I wouldn’t feel too terrible if I were a Chiefs fan. They’ve got some good years coming their way.

Look at it as the Chiefs version of the 1976 ALCS with Tom Brady playing the part of Chris Chambliss. There is going to be a 1985 not far down the line.
That said the Chiefs focus in the draft and free agency from now until B&B retire needs to be filling the holes that need to be filled to beat the Patriots because if you want to get to the Super Bowl you are going to have to go through them as long as they have the killer bees there. Don't worry about what you need to win your division. Don't worry about what you need to get home field in the playoffs. Worry about what you need to beat New England because they are the only thing standing in the way.

Don't feel so bad. I personally didn't know one Chiefs fan before the regular season kicked off that believed the Chiefs were going to the SB, let's be real, when Hunt fricked up I pretty much took SB dreams out of the picture. It sucks to lose this game but we have a pretty good QB so the Chiefs have a decent chance of getting back for another shot.
Hopefully Reid somehow, someway grows as a big game coach but I'm not counting on that. Chiefs best hope is their GM Veach is a wizard talent evaluator and Mahomes studies the shite out of all those Manning and Brady tapes this off season and becomes his own OC.
