I love how this thread is somehow still going

Brady is the most overrated quarterback of the last decade and it's not even a debate.

Brady is too good to be called overrated. IMO Peyton has been better, and all this Will Brady be the GOAT with a 4th ring stuff is silly, but he has still been a great qb.

And anyway the most overrated qbs of the last decade are Dogkiller and Matty Ice

Meh, most talked about without deserving the talk? Sure, but no one confuses them with great quarterbacks. I blame ESPN for this, not the players themselves.

And that proves that Aaron Brooks is better than Steve Young, Favre, Troy Aikman, Tom Brady, both Mannings in the post season?

No, but this post proves that you are a fricking moron.

Well duh. That is why he only included QBs with 20+ starts. Tim Tebow was probably high on that list after the Pittsburgh game. The sample size is too small to be significant for some QBs like Aaron Brooks.

20+ passes. Obviously, I assumed that people would discard the guys with one or two playoff games and focus on the guys with several. I assumed (incorrectly, I guess, thanks to Powerman) that people would be intelligent enough to filter out the small sample size heroes.

Sports talk radio and most message boards are the killing fields of intellectual discourse

I remember when James Harrison was suspended for a game for his cheapshot on Colt McCoy and all the Steelers fans down near me called into the local radio show and were trying to defend him saying it was part of the game blah blah blah. The host finally asked one of them if a Cleveland defender did the same thing to Roethlisberger should he be suspended. The guy was like well yeah of course and the host pointed out that the guy was a hypocrite and you could hear the silence and then the guy hanging up. Good stuff.

Well, I was thinking that 20+ starts seemed a little insane, but I just went with it.

It's all good, man. I randomly chose that number to make sure that I got all QBs who played in the playoffs. I could have gone higher, but I would have ended up with an arbitrary looking cutoff number, and then the guys who think they're smarter than what they really are would attack the numbers by looking at THAT figure.

Powerman posts a lot of stupid things for someone so quick to insult the intelligence of others. Guy seems pretty hostile on here

Championships/titles are really hard to neglect when determining the best QB of all time.

Drew Brees lit up San Fran's D, but we lost in the end because of the defense.

He was extremely clutch at the end of that game, especially since he was avoiding pressure most of the time.

Does the fact that the Giants have better special teams/defense make Eli a better QB than Brees if he gets a 2nd super bowl?

well duh? Just like Brady is clutch because Vinateria made a long FG to win the SB and Jim Kelly chokes because Norwood missed.

Come on, now.

It's not the Tebow era, so if another player accomplishes something, it's because the QB WILLED* him to do it.

Now that the Superbowl is over and Eli has won his second, has any ones opinion changed?

yes.

Eli > Peyton

Peyton is a media darling who wins REGULAR SEASON awards and chokes in the playoffs. Eli is solid during the regular season and delivers in the playoffs.
