Also, 2008 Utah > 2009 Boise State

Agree with this.

Why would a team get up for a non National Title game when they were undefeated and ranked #1 in their last game?

1. They prefer winning?
2. They especially dont want to lose to a smaller school and embarras the program?
3. They are a top notch progam and get up for every game?

IMO Alabama just got thier arse whipped that day...period. No excuses

And most people don't care that Boise didn't get to play Alabama, Texas, or Florida.

Whoever wins Thursday night will have by far the best case for the national title and there is nothing Boise State can say to challenge that.

No team wants to play Bosie State. They can only beat who they play. I would love a home and home with them but most on here will say "not with our brutal SEC schedule". Bosie will play any team and probably give em a serious game.

Boise State beat Oregon this year, though. Pac 10 champs.

Let me play devil's advocate on this one. One could say that they played Oregon as Chip Kelly's first game there...I wonder what the score would be later in the season when Oregon was running on all cylinders after Chip had most of the year. (one of those we will never know guesses.)

With that said, I think Boise State is very good, but I was upset with the BCS not breaking them up and having both play against a BCS conference school. I would love to have seen eitehr one play Florida and the other play either Cincy or Georgia Teach.

And it was in Boise. I understand Boise had advantages.

My point was twofold:

A) Boise St. actually had a very impressive win this season, unlike TCU. Everybody was talking up TCU for beating Utah and BYU, and downplaying Boise State even though they actually beat a BCS champion, albeit with certain advantages.

B) The game wasn't a shootout. It was a tough defensive game. That isn't typically the type of football people think about when they think Boise State or Oregon. Yet, that is what happened.

TCU should have been ready for a smash mouth game, and they just weren't. They underestimated Boise State in a big way, in my opinion. They thought they would dominate...you could see it in the body language.

Why would you think no team wants to play them?

They don't have to schedule Div 1-AA teams

Sure gave UGA a serious game. When was the last time Boise beat a BCS opponent in an OOC game that wasn't Oregon or Oregon State?

TCU's defense did pretty much dominate, their offense just looked like shite. Both defenses played great, both offenses looked like shite.

I think Florida would be able to do a lot better than TCU's shite offense

Boise 2010 isn't the same team as Boise 2005 though, Easter. This isn't a bunch of 5'10 white boys with no speed running around. They have some legit athletes nowadays man. That was 5 years, an entire recruiting cycle, ago. Programs can improve. (They can devolve also...2005 vs. 2010 LSU comes to mind).

This year when New Mexico State come up to play, I ran into several NMST fans that goes to every home and away game. I asked them since they were in the same conference if Ohio State could be Boise State...they said hell yes, as most top BCS could as well. This came from New Mexico State fans and as everyone knows, Ohio State is not as dominate as it once was.

The bottom line is, any BCS school will play Boise, but most of them only want Boise to come to there place and not travel to the blue turf. Boise is well coached and is very good...it is difficult to judge if they are top tier team since they do not play week in and week out and have the grind of a tough league.

I read an article not too long ago about how Boise can't find a game. Not even looking for a home and home but they are willing to play just away games. No big school will schedule them.
